These gyroscope toys were popular when I was a kid (a long time ago!). I found an old one in the attic and showed it to my 12- year old daughter. She was intrigued but the string was damaged so it didn’t work very well. We found this inexpensive one on Amazon and it was nearly an exact duplicate of my old one! It was shiny and new and had a strong string. She loves playing with it and having races with the two of them!

Cool little toy. My son loves it but not the easiest to keep spinning for a long time. Seems a little rough. But not a bad price.

This is a two part review. Once you get this spinning it's 5/5. For a kid or anyone without a lot of dexterity getting this spinning is a 1/5 because it's not easy. They don't tell you this uses a zip cord to generate the spin and to pull that zip cord while holding the gyroscope still - something made to spin in multiple directions - is a feat in and of itself.

Really well made and beautiful. Years after, my son can pull it out of the box (or off the floor) and It will work flawlessly!

I love it! Well balance takes a little practice but easy to use once you get the hang of it. Buying a second one.

The gyroscope is small and light weight, which are not desirable qualities for a toy meant to spin as long as possible from the inertia of the spinning components. The components should be bulkier and manufactured with a higher degree of precision. The string is difficult to pass through the hole in the spindle due to the small size of the hole and fraying of the string provided after a few uses.
