Do not waste your time, energy and money with this product, it does not work.I purchased the product, it was very easy to set up, unfortunately it is completely useless.I have a large number of squirrels on my property. I saw this product, and even though there were mixed reviews, I purchased it hoping it would help control the squirrel population. Sadly mistaken. I baited the trap (chunky peanut butter and wild bird seed) and within a half hour had curious squirrels. When the trap triggered, it did not kill the squirrels. They escaped unharmed, and surprisingly continued to try to eat the bait!I returned the product for a refund. My advice is to NOT purchase this product and find an alternative method for eradicating those pesky animals.

We have used similar black plastic snap traps for rats successfully. These are identical, but bigger and stronger. BE CAREFUL.One particular ground squirrel decided, after eating all the green tomatoes and half grown eggplant in my small kitchen garden, to venture INTO our kitchen, and strip off pieces of the kitchen cabinet. My 90 yr old dad had to chase it out, and before it became any more territorial and bit someone, it had to go.I carefully set the two traps with a small pieces of tomato, set well into the bait cup. Put the trap out under a tomato plant, checked 15 minutes later, dead squirrel. I was a bit sad, but it should NOT have come into human house. I have a friend who when she was pregnant was bit by a squirrel that came into her kitchen, she had to have medical treatment, it was not good.

If I could give less than a 1 star, I would. I have had the traps for about a week now and they don't trap anything. The get set off all the time but never actually traps the squirrel. Then once it is set off, the squirrel reaches in the other side and still gets the bait. Long story short, thos product is a terrible waste of money and does not come anywhere close to doing a good job at trapping squirrels.

It’s truly NOT a squirrel trap. It was no humane as the springs are not strong enough to kill them.

One of the two traps does not work properly. It looks as though the trap did go off but did not catch the squirrel. A little disappointing.

Worked great on chipmunks, but squirrels took a long time to die, hard to watch.
