It was a little vague

Fermentation Made Easy is an easy to read text on the fermentation process of food preparation. It clearly describes the process of making fermented foods. And, it offers some accessible recipes for a beginner to try.

Book is easy to follow. Gives great recipes, and explains the process very well. Thank you!

Covers all kinds of fermentation with easy explanations and directions. Great recipes as well

The book starts off great, with a friendly introduction and lots of recipes and tips on things like the difference between fermenting and pickling and how to make a good brine. It's really exciting for someone like me, who loves to try new things in the kitchen but sometimes ends up with a bit of a mess. The book makes you feel like you're about to start a cool kitchen adventure.But there's a big problem: it doesn't have an index. When you're trying to find something specific in a book that's supposed to help you learn and cook, not being able to quickly look up what you need is a huge pain. Imagine you're in the middle of making a recipe, your hands are all sticky, and you can't flip through the book easily to find the help you need. Even though the book has a lot of good stuff in it, like easy-to-follow recipes and fun ideas for fermenting foods, this one issue makes it hard to use. It's like the book gets you all excited to start fermenting, but then leaves you hanging when you actually need to find information quickly.

It is much more about the science or process, and much less about the recipes.

Exactly what I need. My fermentations never went right. The step-by-step guide in this book is a great help
