Q: Why does it look so yellowish?

Hmmm. Clear should be clear. I do have some stretch cord bracelets where the exposed knot has yellowed some from exposure to life. But not yellow off the roll! Maybe old stock? Just a guess.

Q: Will be using 8-mm gemstone beads ( 0.80mm hole) & 6-mm (0.70mm hole). may want to use swavorski crystals from 4-6mm. would this size work?

Sure, it will work nicely. I use either the .08 or .07 on most all my beadwork unless they're really heavy, then I try the 1mm if not too big for holes.
