The media could not be loaded. I was so impressed by this little kit! All the pieces go together so well, and the design must have been tested rigorously. It was very relaxing and the right amount of challenging to keep you mentally engaged. The instructions were clear and they give you backups for some of the fiddly pieces in case you break them. The MDF is very strong and precisely cut. I had one piece that was printed out of alignment (the organ pipes) but it isn’t very noticeable. And no breakages! I recommend using tweezers for the delicate bits, and two types of glue - one for quick drying and one to give you more time to position. Would definitely consider buying another nook from CuteBee!

Imagine the feeling when a small world comes to life between the books on your shelf. This kit was a delightful journey from start to finish. Packed with meticulous pieces, including tiny furniture and a dust cover, it turned our living room into a mini workshop for a while. My 3-year-old was too young to help, but watching her face light up as the project progressed was priceless. However, do make sure you've got a crafting glue on hand and some AAA batteries. It’s quite a fiddly assemble, but that's part of the charm—turns out it's a lovely team project if you've got older kids or fancy a DIY challenge yourself. The end result with the LED lighting was simply enchanting, making for a unique bookshelf decoration. It did feel a tad pricey compared to other sites, but the joy and satisfaction it brought were well worth it.

This is such a fun kit, there are so many tiny details and 3D elements. The kit is really high quality and all the wooden pieces are easy to pop out of the templates. Bear in mind that some parts require some technique, some of it is near impossible to put together without a set of flat and pointed tweezers and some kind of flat crafting mallet/hammer.

I bought this (as I buy most craft related things) as a gift for my partner for her Birthday, as she'd expressed interest in these things before and we've got some bookcases that could do with a little brightening up.So gifted it to her and she was incredibly happy, her face lit up and I got a nice hug.Now it sits in the garage with all her other unopened, unworked on craft backlog and I'm pleased that she was happy but not quite enough to give it a full five stars as it wasn't enough to make her actually make it. Which is sad, I'd love to see it actually made.Oh well.Having had a peek into the kit myself, everything seems well made and relatively easy to assemble, if you're used to that kind of thing so go ahead and get one. Just... make it!

From opening the box to placing the completed nook on a shelf was an absolute pleasure.Superb quality of the precision lazer cut parts which are beautifully printed.Pressing the parts out is simple with no worries of damaging then, everything fits together perfectly. I only had two minor issues with fitment but these were easily rectified.I also had an issue with the light switch placement as it was completely unaccessable, this wasn't known until the last moment when you mount the front panel (which is one of the last things to do) so, after removing the top and unsticking the swith I was able to relocate it in a better place but still hidden from view.I used super glue as my main glue with a hot glue gun for the wires and a couple of the leds.You will find that some parts although not supposed to be glue with benefit from a drop here and there.The kit includes everything you need apart from glue. You don't even need a craft knife.Personally, I've always wanted to build one of these. As this is my first I can't comment on how it compares to other makes but I can say that this Cute Bee product seems to be a high quality product.

Brilliant, a bit fiddly but tremendous fun and lovely to look at when finished.

I wanted one of these kits for a while and after much deliberation, chose this Detective kit.The attention to detail is mind blowing. So intricate and super cute.Took me 7 hours to complete. Did not stop as it got me hooked. I did buy some craft glue and tweezers to use, I feel those are a must, and was astounded with the end result.The instruction guide is spot on, easy to follow, and the quality of the pieces is impressive.The light kit really makes it pop for sure, emphasising the minute details. You can get lost staring into it.Being a detective agency, it has a few little features that are cool.I have since purchased another kit from the same brand to do over Christmas.Definitely recommend if you like getting stuck into a craft project, in your own little bubble for a few hours!

I think I'm getting hooked on CuteBee book nook kits as this is my second build and I might go for a third or even a fourth . The quality is generally very good, laser cut parts come out of the MDF sheets quite easily but some care is needed with the finer parts. Assembly is straightforward although some slight sanding might be necessary for a good fit. No glue is included and I find superglue gel is best for the painted surfaces and PVA wood glue for everything else.
