So, Ive been wanting to learn how to play the drums without driving my wife up the walls making noise all day. This Deekec practice pad was the answer to my problems. The rubber on the pad is dense and absorbs sound made from the sticks leaving a small unnoticeable audible tap. It has a good bounce to it which allows the sticks to bounce back and vibrate when needed. The back of the pad has another rubber material in it which provides the same quality of noice reduction as the blue side. There is a thread on the bottom which I assume can be used when mounting on a drum stand holder or some type of threaded tripod mount. The sticks are nothing to be desired as they appear to be a low quality of balsa wood however, they get the job done. Since using this pad daily my confidence has grown and my skills are getting better my the day. Since the pad is so small I bring it with me in my small shoulder sling bad and practice every chance I can get. Highly recommend.

I play a variety of instruments but am new to drumming. I wanted something simple that would allow me to learn and practice strokes. This has worked out great for me so far but I admittedly don't have a lot to compare it to. It appears to be durable so far and it has an appropriate bounce to it to practice double strokes and things like that. I am pleased with it.

Would have liked 5B sticks - the 5As included with this pad are light and cheap, but otherwise okay. place to screw on a stand on bottom.

I liked this small 8" drum practice pad. It seems to be made out of good quality materials and is constructed together well. The dual sides of this drum pad are nice to practice on, and they are very quiet when thumping on them, although not completely silent. The underside (black part) of the drum pad has an attachment spot on it, if you wanted to install this on a drum set or practice pad set.It was nice to have a set of drumsticks included with this drum pad. The quality of the drumsticks is basic; good for using on the practice pad but not as durable when using them on actual drums. They have already started to splinter at the tip from normal drum playing, so I recommend best using these on a practice pad. Overall these get a 4 star rating and I would recommend it.
