Excellent, small and well made music player with great sound.
I bought this for my wife who was looking for an MP3 player suitable for running, I liked the look of this and bought it for her, its great. First off, its small and light while being well put together and solid. The clip is good and very secure when the player is mounted in it, always a worry if running. Headphones are good too, they come with different sized tips so you can adjust to suit. It all works well, plug it in and drag files across on your PC, no extra software, it has a good random function. The controls I like as well, the rotary control is for volume and you have dedicated skip track buttons. It also works as a USB stick if you plug it in to the car, giving access to all the songs stored on it. This is a very competent good sounding bit of kit and better than anything I have seen out there for a while, unless you pay silly money. I may buy one for me as well

The Sony was a good player and a used it a lot cycling and ...
To start I am only givnig four stars at this point due to only just getting the device and not yet breaking it t in, I will review again after some proper usage, just to qualify battery life and longevity of the device.Oh yes my opinion is subjective, so others may feel differently than myself, I do however listen to a lot of music and have used used devices over decades, so although not an expert, I am informed to an extent. To qualify my review I have previously had the Sony AW15 which I unfortunately lost...The Sony was a good player and a used it a lot cycling and running and was happy with the device being an ardent user of Sony since the old walkman days, however due to money constraints I needed a cheaper alternative in the interim. This device is nicely packaged with everything you need to get going including decent earphones which are still being "broken in" so to early to fully analyse at this point, and a 16 gig memory card and a robust USB cable.I did not bother reading the manual and sussed out the operation very easily, ie in seconds, some of these far easten devices can be counter intuative to westerners on initial use, this was nice and easy. The device is very cute looking and tactile with a good weight, output is good, being far louder than my previous Sony which had EU volume limit, which could be overidden, but with hassle. The supplied earphones are well made, at this point (taking into account that I have had the device less than a day) may need break these in a bit more, treble is sharper than my Sony EX30, which although decent for mobile listening have a slightly warmer sound, this therefore boils down to musical taste and genres listened on the device. The device with it's supplied earphones provides a slightly wider range than the Sony AW15 with the EX30 earphones especially at the higher end , however subjectively being used to Sony signature of a warmer sound different peope will feel differently. At this point I am very happy with this device, it is no frills in terms of having a radio or watching videos, it has been designed to play music only which I like.I would be happy to recommened this device to others, and I will update this review again over time to give a fully balanced review of the device, Regarding battery life it should be noted that I have listened to three albums on the trott and still showing full battery life, an attribute I always loved with previous Sony deices, this is looking very solid at this point...

Superb device. Don't let it's size fool you! It's as good as some of its bigger alternatives.
Impressive for such a vsry small device. I have the HIFI Walker H2 as well and the quality and design is very good and a good price for features offered.Innovative offering and ideal for people who want to travel light but still want lossless music available without hassle.Nice one!!

Well built but sounds poor
Pros:* very solidly built, looks and feels sturdy* compatible with 256GB card* good quality clip included* small and very portable* plays hi-res PCM and DSD formats* cheapCons:* fatiguing sound quality - with EQ off it is slightly "smiley faced" with dipped mids and exaggerated highs and lows* No custom EQ, just the usual novelty pre-sets, "Jazz," "Classical," "Rock," etc.* volume wheel ceases to operate once the display turns off* primitive looking display* comes packaged in shrink wrap which must be destroyed in order to openBottom line: all the pros and cons aside, for me the only crucial factor is the sound quality, and it's just not good enough. Both my phone and iPod Nano sound better, despite being limited to standard-resolution, due to their much more neutral sound. It's going back.

Fantastic sound
Fantastic sound and good battery life the only thing that lets it down is the screen is virtually impossible to see in sunny weather

Size, it is important!
Whilst the thing is reasonably put together, the screen is way too small and the internal navigation is fairly dreadful. It has been shelved and I have gone back to the shanlings.
