Purchased this car for my son to use outside. It's pretty fast on hard flat surfaces, but when you get in some loose dirt/sand or low cut grass (1/2") it slows down considerably. Don't even bother with sand. The batteries that come with it are cheap and do not last long- 10 minutes top and they get super hot and will not charge until they have cooled down. Never had a rechargeable battery get hot from use. You could probably get just a good car from Target or Walmart. Nothing special. Also, the shell came with a clear plastic wrap that was pealing off in several places. I had to take the cage off and peal off the wrap. I assume it was to protect the shell, but it was already pealing and looked terrible. In addition, the stickers are weird, old-fashioned license plates some foreign. They are useless and have nothing to do with the car.

Fun little stylish racer car. Pretty fast and decent battery life. The range on it is fair. Took it out in the park did well off road just as much as on road.
