This safe is of a super thin metal, and it's claims to fire proof I think come from an included "fireproof" bag, but honestly, this thing is only good for putting some valuables in your house and protecting them from easy theft. The safe can be mounted to a wall, (you'll want to anchor it to some studs), but the rather flimsy metal at the back could probably been torn apart with some effort. But it'll keep a casual person from scooping something up and walking away. It's somewhat like a bike lock - anyone with the right tools and drive can easily access it, but it'll prevent most thefts. Definitely not to protect documents from fire.

The safe is great! decent size, as for being fireproof i can only take their word for it, would be nice if there was a certification for it, for accountability purpose in the event there was a fire and it didn't keep the contents safe. I think it is overpriced since i lose the sense of security of fireproof. The instructions could also be a lot better too.

I set this safe up super easy after returning another brand that failed a biometric opening. This safe was so easy and within minutes I could use my fingerprint or a code. So I have both methods to open the safe. My items are secure and it’s given me such relief. Love the way my fingerprint opens the safe and has an alarm if anyone else tries to open it. Highly recommended

I think it’s a good idea for any household to have a small safe to store those really valuable or personal items. Doesn’t have to be too large but enough to tuck away things like a passport and such so they don’t get misplaced in between the brief times they get used.This safe was a little lite on instructions but I think other reviews have done a good job at highlighting the few things not clearly stated in the instructions. When it comes to setting up the fingerprint reader be aware of the exact positioning your finger is in because it will only work in the exact position you program it in. It’s not like a smartphone fingerprint reader where anyways will work.I do have to say though that the claims about it being fireproof are probably a little embellished. Due to the mounting holes on the bottom and the rear it’s quite clear that in the event of a flood or fire there’s a real possibility that the contents of the safe could be damaged. That said it’s far better than not having any protection at all.

Overall I am finding this safe to be durable and it was easy to setup, despite the lack of good instructions. Some of the components, like the battery compartment, are pretty flimsy, but the shell itself is very strong! The instructions were very basic, and did little to explain necessary functions like where the reset button is (inside the door, top right) and what the secondary battery pack is for (it can plug in under the control panel in case the batteries inside are dead - I recommend keeping it in the purple bag outside of the safe).I tested the codes, keys, and fingerprints and they all work pretty well. I was sceptical about the fingerprint option, but it was incredibly easy to setup (once I found the reset button) and doesn't seem to get confused. I tested it with other fingers and it hasn't made any false positives so far.The included cash bag, shelf, and felt liner on the bottom are also great accessories to have. I haven't used the wall fasteners yet, though I'm not totally sure how I'm supposed to use them - something else left out of the manual.
