So simple yet really effective! Buy it!
I broke my ankle and needed to get surgery. I live in a 6th floor walk-up with no elevator and was concerned about how i would navigate the stairs after surgery. This product was a blessing in disguise! I purchased a hands free cane and a scooter but none worked for me as well as this. This is definitely priceless if you have stairs or have to get things done without having to use both crutches all the time.

This product was fairly easy to attach to the crutch
I had surgery on my Achilles tendon, and am non weight bearing. This product was fairly easy to attach to the crutch, but be prepared to adjust the height a few times to get it just right. I'm 6'4" with very long legs and I think the leg rest is now set at it's lowest possible position on my crutch. As claimed it is useful for freeing up one hand, but I nor my doctor recommend using the product over long term periods. Doc says, while constantly propping up one side of your body at the hip and shoulder (walking or standing) you may run the risk throwing you body out of balance, this could cause aches and other issues. I use it to do house work and I am starting to get back aches. Your experience may be different. My only real complaint is that when you put weight on the knee rest, it causes my aluminum crutch to slightly bow, and it squeaks loudly, a lot! I'm only 180lbs. My crutches made very little to no noise prior to the attachment. Makes me question the stability of uniting the two items together. I have since purchased a knee scooter, once I receive it, I'll happily be needing this item much less.

Product seemed well constructed and very durable. However, ...
Product seemed well constructed and very durable. However, in my case, it was very "unsteady" and I was actually scared that I would lose balance and fall to ground. It seems that the design flaw that affected me was that instead of having your affected leg "dangling" with normal crutches, in this case you need to lift the weight of the affected leg that is supported by the crutch and extend the "weighted" crutch forward to ambulate. So you are off balance and need tremendous upper body strength on the affected side's arm to lift the device along with the "dead weight" of that whole leg (?? 20lbs or more) and you feel very off balance. I had to return the product because I was afraid that I would fall to the ground.

I wanted to like this, but ended up returning it.
It's okay. I'd say it does what it is advertised to do for the most part, but I'm not particularly comfortable using it. I weigh 150 and feel like if I weighed much more I would break the knee thing or the crutch. I'm also 5'4" and with the pad, it's way too tall. I am returning the device because I just feel that repeated use it would break and I would fall and I have to use it without to pad to have it at the right height so I am just not comfortable using it. However, I cannot say for sure because the use I did do trying it out for a day or so, was effective to be able to use only one crutch and therefore have a free hand to carry stuff, which was nice. I ended up buying the iwalk instead.

Good Idea but doesn't work for people under 5 feet tall.
I had high hopes for this adapter. The buyer's advisory said the userr should be over 5'2" or 5'3" as I recall. I'm 5 feet four inches. Had I been one or two inches taller or my crutch had one extra lower notch, I believe it would have worked. Was heart broken that I had to return it. I have a permanently broken foot that is still usable, but needs support. A knee rest would have been helpful for relieving stress and strain on painful days. Probably works well for people over 5 feet. That said, it is a good idea.

Dangerous
I recently had an accident requiring surgery on left foot, was able to mount this on my crutch quickly and easily. Definitely not ready to abandon the other crutch for distances, but for maneuvering around the house and being able to carry an icepack, cup of coffee, etc this makes life much easier. Lists 300 lbs as max weight, I think this bracket is probably good for more than that but the flex it puts on the crutch would make me nervous if I were much heavier.Update: this is dangerous, crutch sheared due to stress put on by this bracket, leaving me crawling to my vehicle to get up. Not for frequent regular use with standard crutches unless you are well below the stated 300 lbs
