Wonderful book!
Don't let the 1-star reviews from the humorless and ignorant deter you from reading this book. It's a wonderful addition to any collection of books about strong, intelligent, fearless women. Kudos to the author for an interesting, diverse selection of role models to learn about!I guess the 1-star folks don't listen to their Bible's own advice about loving thy neighbor and turning the other cheek, instead pushing their usual "we don't like this, so you can't, either!" agenda. Sigh.

cute, small and informational book
The book is small and easy to read. There are 100 women in total with illustrations. Every person has 1-3 pages of their highlights, background info and some fun facts. I like the fact that I can start reading anywhere, or I could look for a specific person. I think this book would be great for bedtime stories for kids. I didn't buy it for this but looking at it feels like it can be used for a lot of things. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone interested in learning more about HERstory.

This is a great book for all kids!
Our kids loved this. It is somewhat similar to Goodnight Stories for Rebel girls - profiles of amazing women who have interesting stories. Of course they are not literal saints - like, saints of the Catholic Church - but saints is used more broadly. The art is attractive, the stories are good, our kids loved it. It was interesting to compare some of these profiles to the "Goodnight Stories" that the kids like so well. We have two boys and a girl and they all loved these stories. We are very pleased!

NOT SAINTS
Really?? These women are not saints. Cecile Richards, the patron saint of mothers and daughters?? How about the patron saint of murdered babies?! Absolute garbage

Nope. Not even close to what a saint is!
This is straight up blasphemy. A saint is a holy person and very few of these women have lived holy lives. The very fact that Cecile Richards, former Director of Planned Parenthood, is considered “saintly” in any way, completely discredits this author and her view of what it takes to be a saint. This book is straight up FICTION and should be treated as such.

Good starting point!
Bought this for my teenage niece who is an avid reader who has a conscientious mind so she can research. However, can be perused by anyone really as most people's knowledge of women achievements tends to be quite poor e.g. Dad and I looked at icons that we knew of, and read the anecdotal information on them which provoked conversation and further research. It is not a comprehensive 'life story' of each icon and if it were, it would be an encyclopaedia and cumbersome to carry around. However, the information included per icon (1 page and illustration) is not a wiki-page summised and adds little tidbits of information that you wouldn't otherwise know. This book I am going to borrow from my little cousin and use as a starting point for the Girls Group I run in primary school.

Fiercely inspirational
By far one of the best little books I’ve found in a while. It was originally given to me by a student’s family who knew I had a soft spot for fierce female trailblazers, and I’ve since used it as my own gift for other inspiring women in my life multiple times over. It’s beautifully written, illustrated so well, and fiercely inspirational.
