Introduction to Biblical Interpretation: Third Edition

It is a rather large hardcover book with small font, and the chapters are long. While not something you'd cozy up to the fireplace with, if you're looking for a reference for detailed analysis on genres, canon, and interpretive processes, then this is an excellent resource to keep on hand.

I looked all over the internet and this was the best buy for a new version of this book, for school. It came pristine, no bends, or dents. Content is good. I enjoy the writing style.

Not quick reading but highly effective reading. Study from it. It’s worth it.

I bought this as required reading material for one of my Liberty University Masters in Theology classes. It was the correct version (as of Summer 2021).

I like the new addition as well as the previous one. Just a word of caution, the authors can be sensitive to LGBTQ, but must not compromised because they do not want to be portrayed as bigoted. The issue really does not warrant a dedication. There is no special section for the "Fornicators" movement that suggest fornication was only wrong if it was done by pagan worship...Be sensitive yes, but everything else NO. If a person is outside the will of God, then they are not your brothers or sisters. There is no such things as a homosexual Christian. You are either a true Christian that is a member of The Way, or you are a person that tries every means necessary to justify a sin that you "feel" you cannot change. This Christian life is a sacrifice which means there are many things that I may find pleasurable and believe that they are immutable, but if those pleasurable things amount to sin against God, then they have to go! Eternal souls are at risk, forget political correctness. What God is society's political correctness if it leads my soul and those I care about to eternal damnation. I am an African American woman that was raised in the Holiness church, just in case one believes that may review comes from a my Christian brothers and sisters that happen to be White,

An excellent book on interpretation and one I wish I had ready many years ago! If Christians applied these principles to their bible study, there would be far fewer problems in interpretation.
