Short range (only 15 km while it is supposed to be 30 km), strange "click" sound, and app is tricky
Was two starts, but changing to one star because of another issue #8 below;7. Seller contacted me, and he say even if the charge indicator on the charger turns to green from red, this does not mean fully charged. Seller also says the remaining charge info on app and on the scooter cannot be trusted. However, I have issue #2 below. so the question is, how can I fully charge the scooter?? If overcharged, it will hurt battery. so I need to stop charging by looking at either the indicator on the charger or the remaining charge info on app / on scooter. However, seller says they cannot be trusted! It was also difficult to make proper communication with this seller (FreeMotion) because of his defiant attitude, several typos, wrong response to his another customer, etc.Below is the things I do not like.1. According to the product description, the Max Range is 30 km (the title says 30 miles, but this seems to be a typo..lol). However, with my weight of less than 70kg (less than 155 lbs), and with the scooter fully charged, I ride for 13.2 km, and the remaining charge was already less than 20%. The ride was under weak wind, there were almost no hill/going up, and I did not do many stop & go. Therefore, the max range would be around 15 km - about half of what is described under product description. Is this really inMotion L8"F" with 8.7 Ah battery?2. There is no overcharge protection. This means you cannot connect the charger overnight, wake up tomorrow morning and disconnect the charger. Owner's manual says if you overcharge, it will hurt the battery.3. Max speed is supposed to be 30 km/h after configuring on App with 70 kg of weight. However, it can barely reach 26 km/h under very weak wind on very flat and smooth surface.4. Every time the tire rotates, I can hear some kind of "click" sound. I owned three other e-kick scooters, and none of them produced sounds like this. Is something stuck on the rotation mechanism of tires?5. App cannot be downloaded neither from the link on owner manual nor from the link provided on inMotion USA HP. You can still download one from the App store, but it seems the app is a carry over from China, and a part of app is Chinese.6. The app cannot be updated through App store. Instead, the app asks you to update itself by downloading files from unknown web - I do not feel this is safe, and I'm not sure whether I want to do this.

Cap to screw this component fell off while riding after normal use. Seriously potentially dangerous as this locks in the scooter
I purchased this scooter for $650 and it seems to have gone down to $599 at the time of this review. I am disappointed by this fact. This scooter was delivered 3 weeks ago and I've used it pretty regularly on my commute to work ever since (2.2 mi each way). The fun was great while it lasted, but there are some fundamental flaws with the transparency of the company in their description.1. I weigh 177 lbs, and the average speed of this scooter is closer to 22 km/hr on moderate ground - but on ideal flat smooth surface, it can achieve top speed. Usually, roads are not straight enough for it to ride at this speed.2. The range on a full charge is off. It states 30km when in fact I've only ever reached up to 25.3. I've uploaded a photo showing the hinge locking mechanism for the scooter coming off. It unscrewed and fell off mid ride. This is potentially totally dangerous.I'm pretty disappointed overall and I wish I could return it to find a better made, more solid and stable feeling one. Many of the parts, like the toggles for break and gas are made of light plastic which feel like they could easily snap off. Would not recommend.

Great looking scooter but it seems like it is quick to break down
This scooter looks great. But acceleration is not good and when I hit bumps. The acceleration seem to shut off. So I would have to let go of the acceleration and then press.Braking was great the first day but again. When braking it seem to work only some times. I almost crashed and had to just hop off the scooter. This might be just my scooter that is defected but who knows.Return has started and I will be shipping this scooter back to the seller. I give it a 1 star just because there is no lower.

I have this for a month now and I feel like I'm the only person in Los Angeles that rides this.Pros: It looks cool. It's a head turner on the streets for sure.Cons: It sucks uphill, even slightly. I have to actually give a couple kicks to boost it uphill. When I first received it, I have to fill air on the back tire. Also, after a month, the front bar that connects to the front wheels and handles gets a little shakey after awhile.

Not a hardy commuter option
I recently moved to a location that requires a ferry commute to Seattle, and I use this as the "last mile" vehicle in downtown Seattle from the ferry to my office. I've found a route with only a slight incline for most of the ride, and I kick off several times on that very gradual hill to keep it moving faster than walking pace. There is a one-block stretch with a steep hill. For this hill, I get off and thumb the accelerator a bit so the scooter gives me a bit of a tug up the hill. The 8" wheels don't buffer shocks much, so sidewalks can be more comfortable than bike lanes if the asphalt is rough. The lights look cool, but on the second day of my commute I was already tired of total strangers STANDING IN THE BIKE LANES to ask me about it. "Hey, is that one of those..." Yes. It is.This would all be ok, but on day 8 of commuting with the scooter, with about 20 miles on the odometer, it started to come apart. That day, the lever that keeps the scooter from folding came loose, AND the left handlebar hung from its wires when I folded it down. I had to remove a screw to jimmy the handlebar back on. I reached out to my seller (not Amazon, but eWheels), and was denied the option of a return, because it's used. Booo, I would expect better support on a brand-new vehicle.Currently shopping for folding e-bikes with 500W or stronger motors.
