Good value, color is good and very durable.

It took days to complete this pendant but I am satisfied with this tarnish resistant brass wire. It holds shape really nicely and reacts well to tension and pressure. It has a nice weight to it but not overly heavy. Doesn't scratch really easy if you use proper care when forming jewelry with pliers and edges sand down nicely with a metal file. Overall I would recommend this as a durable and strong product for jewelry making.

Is great wire for practicing wire wrapping and even nice looking enough for the finished pieces.

This wire worked quite well for what I needed but was thinner than other 32 gauge wires I’ve bought in the past. This made it a bit more susceptible to kinking and breaking than I was hoping, but overall held up well once I got a little more used to working with it. I made wire wrapped beaded bracelets that I’ve been wearing daily for about 2 months with no breaking of the wire (once the bracelet was completed) and minimal tarnish, despite being worn in the shower. It also has not turned my skin green, which is nice. Overall, it is more expensive than comparable wire at craft stores, but the quick and free shipping might make up for it depending on how quickly you need supplies. I also found this wire to be less prone to completely unraveling off the spool than other spooled wires, likely because it is so thin.

I used this for other things not pertaining to jewelry making so i can’t say how good it is for that but i liked using it for my other art related projects so i’m sure it works well with jewelry making…

I've been getting into working with brass lately after sticking mostly to copper in the past. I am doing projects and practicing techniques from a lot of books, and some of them call for 10 gauge wire, so I bought this.10 gauge wire is actually pretty thick. I find it somewhat difficult to work with, even when dead soft. This is not the fault of the wire; it has more to do with my weak hands and wrists (I tend to buy smaller tools because I have small hands, and that may also come into play). But, this is a great size of wire if you want to hammer it into a thin bangle or cuff (though I haven't tried soldering it just yet). You may want to use nylon-tipped pliers or get some of that stuff you dip pliers into, to coat them, before using them with this wire (so you don't mar the surface).I am happy with the quality of this wire. It has a color that matches my other brass wire, findings, and blanks. It doesn't hurt to polish it a bit as that will improve the appearance. I had to get some larger wire-cutters for this because my tiny Eurotool flush cutters weren't heavy-duty enough. But it is good to have a range of tools so you can use the right one for the job.In terms of being actual 10 gauge brass wire, working with this, etc., I am happy. It is exactly what I expected it to be. If you are new to wire work, you may want to start with a smaller gauge (i.e., higher number) to get a feel for what you are doing. But when you are ready to move on to more complex or larger designs, this stuff is great for practice.

very good wire to work with

The 16ga I received is YELLOW brass, NOT resembles 14K gold as presented. If to resemble 14K gold, it should be RED brass.I also bought 18ga, 1/4lb, it is RED brass, though. I am happy with 18ga, not 16ga.I am not sure if it is the seller's fault, or artistic wire 16ga brass only has yellow brass...I did not bother to return 16ga and would use for something else then.
