but perfect for rice bowls
These are too small for soup, but perfect for rice bowls! I’m so happy I ordered them as they are a great addition to our place settings

Easy care, but a little small
I actually bought these to use to serve snacks at an outdoor dinner last summer. They are sturdy, attractive, and dishwasher safe; they worked well for my purposes because we could pop the lids on and keep marauding summer insects at bay. They are a little smaller than I anticipated; as soup bowls I guess they would work well for a dainty portion of miso soup served to accompany a meal of several courses.

Plastic bowls
The material in Amazon said they were made of porcelain, that was why I bought them, however, they are really just cheap plastic bowls , disappointing.

Size matters
My mistake was not checking the size! They are small but I've found many uses for them and the tops as well. I ended up buying the actual size miso bowl needed. The quality is great though. Wash well and are strong.
