Secure, Stable, and Low Profile - I LOVE it!
This is my first review on Amazon, I usually don't, but this is worth it! I'll start with the only negative I've found (and it really is no big deal to me, and as I typed this, realize it's actually more of a positive). I wish (/wished?) instead of an allen screw holding this to the camera, it was like the Manfrotto Quick Release Plate that has it's own handle to tighten it, and folds flat. BUT, that would probably make this Fusion Plate thicker, and it is REALLY nice how little of a footprint it puts on the camera. Also, I find no need to remove it, so I just used a little blue Loctite when installing, and it hasn't come loose once yet (in about 9 months of frequent use), and yes, I check. When I get a new camera, it's getting it's own Fusion Plate, and if do want to remove the plate, it's only blue Loctite so won't be a problem. Also, the Fusion Plate has a threaded hole with standard tripod threading for if you wanted to attach something else to the camera bottom without taking the Fusion Plate off, so it's not like you lose your tripod mount threads when this plate is attached. See, so maybe the allen screw is better (unless you want to remove the plate often) since you can get more torque with the allen wrench then the built in handle on some quick adapter plates.Sometimes I'll use a camera strap, sometimes a quick sling, and since I shoot mainly landscape, a lot of my shots are from the tripod. This is an awesome, elegant solution to being able to have multiple sling/strap attachments on the bottom of the camera and still easily put it on a tripod. I have a peak design strap button attached to the bottom for my strap, and then there's then folding hoop for the sling's clip. It also fits perfect in my Really Right Stuff tripod head clamp. When I'm using the sling, I do have a paracord safety strap I made, but it's never been needed. This whole Fusion Plate is made to be very secure. I love it!!

If camera mounting plates could be called epic, this one would be epic.
EDIT: #3 on the way to be mounted on a Nikon D500. Still 5 stars!I purchased this plate and liked it so much I bought a 2nd one. As one of the previous reviewers said: "It's bomb proof!". Some might say this plate is a bit pricey, but are you really going to buy one of these plates to put on a bottom of the line DX camera with a kit lens? I Keep one plate mounted on a Nikon D750 FX camera, and the second plate mounted on a Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 VC lens. This enables me to use a smaller lens and not have to swap plates. When I use the 70-200, I just use the plate attached to it.Let's look at the plate.#1 It's Arca'Swiss compatible, which was a must have for me. It fits my existing ball head. I should have no trouble finding a compatible ball head in the future.#2 Very well built. It's one solid piece of metal, with the exception of the attachment loop and the screw, both of which are very sturdy.#3 Even has a separate hand or neck strap attachment point on the end.#4 The length of the plate even allows me to attach it to my tripod or monopod without removing my shoulder strap. No cons yet. What are you waiting for? Get one!

Perfect Design! Quality Product!
I have two of this size and two of the larger sizes attached to my camera bodies and my 70-200 my 100-400 and my 500 F4. I can easily change from my sling strap to my tripod with no effort. The hole is large and is easy to quickly guide my caribeiner even in low light. I have hiked many miles with my 100-400 and my 7dii attached and never felt like it was anything but secure. Remember to always attach whichever is heavier lens or camera body to your strap. I use the one on my 500 to transport it to my shooting site on a side sling (Black Rapid) and have an extra safety lanyard installed. This keeps my hands free to carry my tripod and other items. Well done.

I Love These Plates
I am a wildlife photographer that carries my “big glass” with a single hook shoulder system, so it made sense for all my bodies to do the same. These plates let me keep one on my camera all the time, ready to carry or slip onto a tripod at ant time. Some of the tripod collars on my lenses also do not have built-in tripod plates, and these work well for those lenses, too.

No safety stops!
Get the larger one if it will fit your application. (I have both.) This one is like driving a car without seat belts - there are no safety stops.i won't return it since i knew what i was getting, but after seeing how easily it slides off the receiver, i doubt i will ever use it.It's like a 4-wheel car with 3 wheels - what's there is nice, and it's close, but it's missing a critical feature. Do you want aesthetically pleasing or fully functional? I'm sticking with the larger one - not as pretty, but it's complete.

Rough under tension, but good for versatile shooting
This is a great plate if you want to switch between tripod and a rapid strap. It feels a little rougher than a normal rapid strap button when under tension, but it is built well.

Perfect sling strap accessory.
Finally, a tripod mount plate with a sling strap connection that I trust with my precious Canon 7Dm2 and 100-400L. In addition, unlike the BlackRapid Tripod Plate, this Fusion Plate has a hand strap attachment point. It is not cheap, However, if one were to total the value of the equipment that will dangle from the strap and this connector it is worth every penny in my book.
