The surface is much harder than the last set of plastic boards I had - just soft enough to avoid dulling my knives, and they don't slide around on the counter. I haven't had them long enough to know how they'll hold up to long-term use but so far they've only sustained one shallow scratch from daily use, and they haven't warped in the dishwasher like the old ones. I'd guess they'll last a year or two before I have to think about replacing them, which is pretty good for the price.

Smaller than expected but very good quality. I don't think you could trim an elephant on them but normal usage should be fine.

This cutting board set has performed flawlessly so far, and they look nice and clean up easily!
