It's OK but pretty basic. If you are new to the game, he covers the basics quite well. Not much there that I didn't already know.

OK book, lots of others on the market that are more informative. May be good for someone who has never owned a survival weapon.

A word of warning: This is a book heavily pinned towards an American audience, in particular - those who advocate strongly towards lenient gun control laws. Their views and wording of particular case studies may offend some people.But the book itself is very comprehensive when it comes to identifying a wide range of guns, the pros and cons of the guns, and affordability. Not only that, but it also details techniques in surviving situations such as criminal encounters and natural disasters.I think this book will be a great resource in my fiction writing, as a research tool. For any gun enthusiasts, it's also a solid book.As I said however, the political undertones seen with the Gun Digest brand don't exactly make it non-biased reading for a Brit.

It's just a general view of firearms.I thought it would be more specific in the types.However, overall there is good info in the book.
