Alright as soon as I started putting it together I knew it was far from "heavy duty". This thing is not sturdy at all. I hung a few shirts and about 3 sweaters on the top bar and it collapsed.Update : after speaking with seller in regards to being unhappy with product I can assure you that this seller is helpful and respects customer service. The product itself was not for me personally but when you get good customer service in return that makes it worth giving the items a try.

It took me a long time to put these together. Once I got it right, I had about 10 garments and the metal literally twisted and all the brackets broke. Nothing about this is "heavy duty"

This clothing rack broke after 2 days of use. I went to grab an item off the rack (without pulling hard at all) and heard a crack. The whole rack toppled forward onto me! This is not safe! I wish I had put it together before the return window closed so I could at least get my money back.

Bought this because I'm moving. Fairly easy to put together BUT couldn't handle the load. I tightened the fasteners until my hand hurt and put pressure on the middle bar before hanging any clothes. To no avail. The middle rack/bar piece started to slide down out of place. Once that happened the whole thing began to twist and before I could even remove the clothes to try and fix it the whole thing toppled snapping some of the fasteners! I'm pretty angry. There's more than enough to do when you move that no one needs more work created for them. Come on people let's have some quality control! Let's test our products before we sell them! Obviously I'm returning this and would not recommend it and will not buy again!

Knowing this is not a heavy duty clothes rack I thought it would handle a large load of shirts and pants because it does expand. Without expanding the poles, it handles lighter duty well but does not when expanded. I would recommend purchasing a heavier duty rack.

This is not heavy duty it broke today and it has not even bin 3 months. It is not easy to assemble and the parts are not properly sized up, so might have to do a lil extra sanding so that the pipes for the second tier can fit flush to each other, and what’s worse you have to line it up to Every small screw area as part of the assembly.

I bought this to use for my children's clothing that they had grown out of before I resold it. I used it twice and when I was moving it this time it all fell apart and the plastic black base broke in half. It is NOT worth the money and I would NOT purchase it again unless you plan to use it for just a few things. Iam back on amazon purchasing another one...this time I'm spending the money and getting on that is solid and won't break after two uses.

This was supposed to be a heavy duty item. But after hanging my clothes from dryer so I can carry them inside (washer/dryer is in garage), it broke. Where the break happened rendered it useless. It was not overweighted and it was securely fastened. If the support bracket was thicker, this would not have happened. It does move well and was easy to assemble; however, I do not recommend this product.
