tiny, mighty, but a bit too angry
I got the 400MB/s. This is my second one. It's full metal so it feels really nice. It is super small so it's very pocket friendly. It is really fast, really holds up to the 400MB/s advertised speed. In fact, it's so small and so fast, I gotta put a leash on it so it doesn't run away. But since it's small and fast, it gets hot. Not skin burning, but still really hot. I was worried so I put a fan in front of it, and it certainly cools down. Overall I'm happy with it.

Great speed. Compact size
Excellent usb drive. Very fast read/write speeds. Almost ssd level. And construction is high quality metal. Would recommend fully. Although it tends to run hot, like all metal usb flash drives.

Perfect as it should be
It's small and compact, transfers data quickly, and has plenty of storage. I'm very happy with the results. I've been testing it for days and everything is working perfectly. I use it to store large files and play high-resolution movies, and it hasn't failed at all.

Like other reviews , read first
I purchased this because of the size and space, I have a few 512 mb sd cards and usb thumb drives amongst others, I figured ok 1 tb would be a lot better , I was wrong,at least with this one , at first it looks nice , solid, metal makes you feel like it was worth it , then you use it, like I read other reviews ,first my computer crashed, ok thought nothing of it , it’s an asus gaming laptop , 3 month old, latest Ryzen processor all the best I could buy at the time , cost 3400. Should run anything I throw at it, well except this drive. Rebooted it worked shows the storage looked good, I wrote a couple files to it nice and quick. So I reformatted it , fat32 is what I needed , no problem took a min. Then I have to transfer my data, I do a lot of computer modding and video game modding , so loading 700gb it said 4 hrs , ok acceptable 7 hrs later says 3 hrs left and the gage was barely moving , I was like ok let me stop and start again from this point, well hot isn’t the word, this thing gets so hot I couldn’t hold it . I don’t know if it overheats and then slows down or if it isn’t great and screws up then over heats , point is for my use it does t work , I can’t transfer large files to it , I gets scary hot like it may cause damage to my laptop , and I also have to mention I tried this with the usb 3.2 ports and the usb c ports. Both caused extreme over heating, and then at that point you have to wait an hr or so before you can even delete anything . I am returning it and hoping to get my money back, I will look for some other small storage . Like I said I don’t know if it’s def. If I was just asking to much of it , maybe if you gave small files and just access it randomly it will be fine . But for me it’s going back.

A decent flash drive if you get the right version
I bought a "Used - Like New" version of the 512GB 400MB/s model during the Prime Day sale, for use as a portable backup of important data that I could take with me on my keychain. It was the perfect size and design for this use and also kind of cute. When I received it a few days later, it was just the drive, wrapped in bubble wrap in a plastic bag. No packaging, despite the description for "Used - Like New". But I decide to give it a shot anyway, as I didn't really need the packaging, and if the drive was good, that's what really mattered. But it wasn't. It SO wasn't. Easily the worst flash drive, and one of the worst tech products, I've ever used. After I formatted it using ExFAT, then encrypting it using VeraCrypt, which I've done with every flash drive I've owned that I used to carry important files with me on my keychain, it took me literally days to copy over around 400GB of data. It often basically froze, and made my reasonably powerful PC grind to a halt, and I had to stop, wait and restart the copy process, over several days, to complete it. Then, once all the data had been copied over, syncing files from my PC to it took much, much longer than it should have. The drive was clearly junk and going back, both because the description was misleading, and because it was essentially defective. But the Prime Day sale was still going on so I decided to give it another shot, and ordered another "Used - Like New" version. When I got it several days later, it came with the original packaging, opened of course. But the drive was unformatted, and seemingly unused. So I formatted and encrypted it, as before, and proceeded to copy over the same data as before. Only now, instead of days, it took just a couple of hours, if that. I mean it was fairly fast. Not blazing fast, averaging around 50MB/s, which was quite decent for a drive this relatively inexpensive, but fast enough for my needs. The way I intend to use it, to sync my PC data to it before leaving home each day, which is usually no more than several MB of new or changed data, it's plenty fast, and every time I sync it, it only takes a few seconds. So it's hit or miss with this drive. The difference, I found, is that in the hardware settings, the first drive didn't allow me to enable write caching, while the second one did. So either there are at least two different chipsets that come with this drive, or the first one's chipset was defective. So if you do get this drive, check for this, and if it doesn't allow write caching, then send it back, it's likely going to be ridiculously slow. But if it allows it, then keep it, you should be happy with it so long as you don't expect super fast write speeds. Update: Around a week in it's actually performing even better, with daily syncs taking from a few seconds to a minute or two, depending on how much data is being synced. I mainly use it to backup and sync my PC's most important data so I can always have a backup with me on my keychain (I have other backups of course and this is just additional insurance), and it's worked perfectly for this. I actually created 2 partitions on it. One that took up most of the drive, formatted in NTFS (which gave me around 10GB more capacity than when formatted in ExFAT) then encrypted in case I lose it, to store the backup. And one 8GB partition, formatted as ExFAT and unencrypted, to pop into my phone to backup data when I'm out all day. Works great for both. Update #2: I liked the 512GB drive so much that I ended up getting the 1TB version, as the 512GB one didn't have a lot of capacity left for future needs after I copied my most important data to it. I also expanded the smaller unencrypted partition to 64GB as I could easily spare the space with this much capacity. I then copied some additional data to the larger encrypted partition. I actually purchased several 1TB drives, fearing that I'd have the same issues I had with the first 512GB drive And, just as before, several turned out to be extremely and ridiculously slow, and they didn't support write caching, while thankfully one did support write caching and was much, much faster, as fast as the good 512GB drive. So I returned the slow ones and kept the fast one. It's not blazing fast, around 280/70MB/s read/write, but that's more than fast enough for my needs, and I much prefer its design and size over faster but bulkier drives. So bottom line, a pretty nice and reasonably fast drive, IF you get the one that allows write caching, but an absolutely and horrifically terrible drive if you get the one that doesn't. Another way to tell which is which is that the good 512GB version has only 460GB capacity and the good 1TB version has only 920GB, while the bad 512GB version has 466GB and the 1TB version has 931GB. Also, the good ones were made in Malaysia and the bad ones in Taiwan (the country is printed on the drive).

Still working fine. Can get hot. Love the material for heat dissipation.
Fast and it will get Hot. Used for some big file transfers. Still going strong. The heat can be concerning but at the same you know it's dissipating it effectively based on the material.

Promisses 400 MB/s, seems to deliver 400 MB/s
seems pretty great so far - i did a speed test, included are the results. this speed test is on a 5Gbps USB3.1 Gen1 Type-A port on a Z-370 motherboard with an 8700K and 64GB DDR4 RAM (in case anyone was wondering) I realise the speeds will be lower in real workloads, and will as always, gradually go down over time. But, out the gate sequential speeds are faster than advertised, which is always great.

Very good and stylish.
Stylish, durable USB drive. Finish is modern, soft, brushed stainless steel. Easy to plug in to phone and transfer is fast. Caught a good sale so price was very good. Only wish is it came with some sort of elastic loop for transportation and attachment convenience.

Very useful normal USB type A and type C. Very fast write speed.
