Ordered two for my wife and me. They are flexible, but strong enough to clamp to our auto dashboards without having a smooth surface for suction to keep in place. Accidentally attached one to a smooth surface and had a difficult time getting it off, actually! One of the products had an issue in manufacturing where one of the movable ends of the clamp was for the other end such that the tab would not permit it to open fully, although I could still get my phone in it. Was a bit much for my wife to perform that, though, as it took strength + coordination and barely slid into place. The seller responded to me and sent a replacement clamp to swap out on the defective one so that there was no return and existing one could still be used carefully in the meantime. Great service, great product!

I purchased one of these and tried to use it a few months ago. Just now getting around to writing about it because I wanted to give the item a thorough chance to work. I was happy it came to me already assembled. I loved the bright red color! I also thought it was unique and just might be the answer to my iPhone falling out of/off of the other holders I had purchased over the last few years. Nothing I tried made this thing suction to my smooth horizontal dashboard. It and my iPhone took more tumbles when I went around corners than a gymnastic meet. I thought I'd try bending the arms as is shown in some of the sales photos...those arms are not anywhere near bendable enough to stick to each other or around something else. To top it off, the attachment for you phone is so tight that it takes a major effort to release your phone from it. I hate to think of the panicked moves I'd have to go through if someone actually called me when I had my phone in that holder! It's cute, but no. I don't recommend this item.

EDIT : 10 months in Update, welp here I am updating you all on this product, after a while of using this a lot I've noticed that the suction sometimes unsticks, I can leave it on my mirror and go make lunch, and at times I find it on the floor, but other than that, I think this holds for the sufficient time your near it and using it. I still enjoy it other than those little mishaps.

I like the thought process around the functionality of the Tenikle. The arms feel like they are built sturdy and bend in many different ways. The only issue I run into is how long the suction lasts on my windshield. I've found Tenikle on my dashboard after falling from the windshield while my car was sitting in the driveway or at the office garage for several hours. I've also noticed that while driving, some of the suction cups are losing their grip while I'm in motion. I still like it and I've used it as a camera stand and it functions well in that regard. I just don't think I should have to constantly check the arms because it's slowly letting go of the windshield.

The tension to add my Phone to the phone mount was so much I almost had to ask for help. That should mean my phone is secured nicely. Be careful you can pinch yourself stretching the phone mount. My phone barely fit. When removing my phone from the mount my phone case broke. The tension was/is strong. A bigger phone would not have fit. I guess I did not see in the information prior to buying it that it will not work on dashboard. I am not mounting to my windshield as it is too big and would obstruct my view. Besides how do I get my phone in and out of the phone mount? I am not sure I would find use or way to use the suction cups to attach to my phone then bend other tentacles to be a base to hold up my phone. Bending the tentacles is not easy. Will try to return.

I love this item. I just purchased a second one and have also given it as a gift and those people love it. It allows me to be hands free whether I’m watching a video or reading a recipe or listening to a podcast. So practical. I can’t be without it. It can be bent and turned to fit any situation. The suction cups are quite strong and it holds my phone without me concerned that it will topple over.

Very unimpressed. The tenticles didn’t work well for sticking it to surfaces, or at least didn’t work as well as it seems in videos. Trying to put on a vertical surface kept failing once I attached my phone. I had hope to put in on a wall on a 270 degree corner of a pillar. Looking at videos when its up its often in a 90 degree corner so may work for that. As a stand it is useful, the legs are easily bent into shape so you can definitely play with angles and height, more than you could with most phone mounts. So to quickly change angles and positions it would likely work well, especially if its on a flat surface and you won’t need to rely on the tentacles sticking.

Bought the product on sale and it was fun while it lasted. But one of the tenikles broke and now it doesn’t really function well anymore. Also wish the mount was a little stronger. It dropped my phone while riding over the bumps while biking 🫤
