Fantastic sink for the price! Fits (just barely!) in 30" Kraftmaid sink base.
I wanted a big, sturdy sink for our kitchen remodel. The layout demanded a 30" sink base, this was the biggest sink that the description said fit a 30" base, so we took a chance on it.Our local Kraftmaid rep happened to be at our house to issue replacement doors, and we spoke with him about our sink plans. We were concerned about compromising the structural integrity of the sink, or voiding the manufacturer's excellent warranty. We would have to cut out part of the wood on the top of both sides to get the sink to fit.He said that in no way would it void Kraftmaid's warranty. The wood pieces we were cutting apparently are for attaching Formica to the top of the cabinet - they do not affect the structural integrity of the cabinet at all! There is enough room in the base to leave ~1" on either side of the sink, once the cut has been made.We were thrilled and ordered the Kraus that day.Our plumber was impressed with the quality of the sink. We got lucky with installation, we had less than 1/4" clearance for the drain pipe underneath because we had not anticipated such a deep sink and drain - definitely make sure your plumber has the spec sheet info for the depth of the drain so he allows enough room underneath for the drain rough-in.We are so glad we did! The sink is cavernous - we can stack a pile of dirty dishes on one side, and strain a pot of pasta into a full-sized colander on the other.Overall a beautiful, durable sink for an excellent price, comes with all the accessories, and fits into a 30" sink base - this was a home run in our reno and one of the few decisions we didn't agonize over or second-guess (once we knew it would fit!)We would have loved to support an American company (the Kraus is made in China), however we put chunks of our reno budget towards bigger ticket items made in the USA (appliances, cabinets, etc), and were happy to get a quality sink for a reasonable price.

Huge sink & quiet
The sink that came with the house we just bought was abysmal. The dimensions were nice on paper, but it was divided into two basins, and the way it was done made each basin way too small for any of our pans. Washing anything larger than a salad plate was tedious. And to top it all off, it was made from a thin-gauge stainless steel with no noise dampening, so it was incredibly loud whenever the water was running. We spent a couple of month looking for a sink that would fit the cutout of our granite countertop. We eventually found this one that matched it almost perfectly. With only a single basin, we could make full use of the space available (about 30.5x16.5), and that has made a huge difference in our ability to easily wash our dishes or anything else for that matter. It's a thicker stainless steel (18 ga), so it's quite sturdy. And it has noise dampening pads attached to it, so it makes using the sink so much quieter! The sink also comes with some accessories, like a drain and a bottom grid. Those are nice to have, I suppose, but we didn't really find much use for them. We just used the drain that came with our disposal, and the grid, IMHO, is just one more thing to clean--and it's fiddly at that, with all the crossed wires. I guess it would go a good job of improving drainage and keeping the basin from getting scratched up... but neither of those are concerns for us.I'd never really put much thought into my kitchen sink before... it's just a utilitarian item that gets the job done. But this sink has legitimately made our lives better by being so large and quiet.

Quiet, well made, perfect size, stylish
First of all, I wanted a single bowl sink that didn't overwhelm my kitchen counter. And, I wanted a sink that was less industrial looking than the commercial-like sinks. The design of the sink with its rounded corners makes cleaning easy. Like all stainless products, it shows water spots if you don't wipe them up. But Kraus included a micro-towel for this purpose. The sink is quiet due to the sound dampening Kraus has put on the outside walls and underside. I especially like the drain rack that fits in the bottom. It is functional but stylish. The rack comes with extra feet and bumpers so you can replace them when you need to. While this is a relatively small sink, I can put a dishpan on one side and still have room in the sink to rinse things off. A great choice for the new quartz counters we had installed.

Good quality from a good company
I like the appearance, the fact that the sink comes with a grate (which you don't have to use) which sits on rubber feet about an inch above the sink bottom. Easy to clean. Comes with strainer basket which you won't need if you have a garbage disposal. I liked that I could reference the dimensions before I ordered it and it fit almost perfectly without my having to get a granite company to cut my countertop. I figured I could always return it if it didn't appear to fit. But it did.

Perfect Sink
Just had our sink installed in our new kitchen and it's perfect! After using a single basin it's so great to go back to a dual basin where you can actually do dishes. The low divide works great for those bigger items. We've left the grates in the bottom so I can speak to the sinks durability from scratching but the grates look nice. Highly recommend.
