Buy Battleships Yamato and Musashi (Anatomy of The Ship) by Skulski, Janusz, Draminski, Stefan (ISBN: 9781472832245) from desertcart's Book Store. Free UK delivery on eligible orders. Review: Stunning read - Very detailed about both ships. Detailed drawings and images are really helpful to a modeller and great for the history buff. Review: The ultimate reference book on these ships. - This is not a reprint of the older Anatomy of the Ship book nor have their been a few bonus pages added...it is almost an entirely new book with 336 pages that cover both ships in detail with many new photos, colour illustrations and some updated line drawings from the previous publication. I consider this to be the ultimate reference material on these two ships and a steel at the price...fantastic value for money, I cannot praise it enough.

ASTOUNDING
Awesome! Line drawings and exemplary colour (mostly grey) artwork of the ships (and sections of) from many angles with comparisons of how they changed through their relatively short careers. Truly an anatomical study, with every significant aspect and section detailed. Perfect for the new Tamiya kit. The brief text (the first 40 pages) provides a reasonable history of the ships and blow-by-blow timelines of their sinkings. The photos at the end show how little remains. These ships may have been imperfect but still what a lot of torpedoes needed to sink them! 39 on Yamato, plus 19 bomb hits, the vessels only ripped apart by internal explosions.

Yamato Anatomy of the Ship
This book is absolutely exceptional in quality and detail, if I had the funds I could 100% build an entire Yamato from this book. The details are incredibly good with great historical facts about the ship. If you are building your own model of the Yamato this book has all the details that you could ever need to help you build it. Great seller will be buying again.

The Imperial Japanese Navy's lost giants revealed
Amazing book. I've been intrigued by these ships since I was give a little book on Japanese battleships as a child. In those days there was very little known of the ships as the Imperial Japanese Navy did a "TSR2" and destroyed all plans and photographs of them the moment they realised all was lost. Over the years more has become known and plans and pictures have been found, and the wrecks of both ships have been found and visited with submersibles, and all this info has been distilled into this amazing book. If I could give it 6 stars I would. Bargain price at the moment too!

Excellent detail
The book has an initial text but it's mostly a comprehensive set of detailed drawings of the ship, complemented with colored 3D images from Stefan Draminski; the only reason I do not rate this mammoth 5 stars is because although featured in several drawing and pictures, there is no rigging diagram for the ship - the main reason why I acquired this book.
