I've been taking this for a few years. I take it for hormonal balance and energy. I take three a day. One in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one at night. I think it does help but I stack it with other things too. I have started having peri menopausal symptoms.

This brand of Maca was purchased during a time I was experimenting to find a better Maca product than the one I was using at the time. I noticed that all Maca supplements are not created equal and even with the same amounts of mg they will still fail to function the same. I’ve tried so many of varying strengths and blends and this is the only one I am committed to using. This brand gives regulates your system well. I have increased energy during times I need it and my sleep cycle began regulating shortly after. While it gives energy it is not stimulating. It brings you to a place where you need to be. Happy energy versus just being awake. Peacefully falling asleep versus taking medication to put you to sleep. This is safe and effective for other areas as well. While many of it is tied together it is finally tied correctly. I am back to having better control over my mood. I have a very high emotional IQ which causes me to notice negative mood changes easier. I have multiple sclerosis which comes with it’s own varying moods due to medications. However, I was able to stop taking something for sleep and then something for fatigue. I’m able to focus better because I am awake the correct way and happy about being that way. I love that this product truck works in a beneficial manner. The proof is that if I stop taking it for a week or more I do not automatically revert to an un-natural negative state of mind and being. This product has other little benefits that I believe will be different for each person. However, I do recommend this Maca over all others.

The first time I took this product I felt extremely irritable and had a bad headache. I didn’t take it for 2 days and then decided to take a small dose. This made my period come early but I just figured it was balancing my hormones so that is probably the reason. I gradually worked my way up to a full dose (2 caps) and I have felt some positive effects on my energy and sex drive, but it’s not consistent and I crash about 8 hours after taking it. I get a headache and have to take ibuprofen to relieve it. Sometimes I will take a second dose in the afternoon but most of the time I don’t. I have noticed that my joints, especially my neck, are more stiff and painful. All of these things go against everything that I have heard about Maca. I am going to keep taking it because if these side effects are just from my body adjusting I don’t want to quit before I really see the benefits! I intend to update my review in a month or so.

Maca is one of the energizing "super foods" that have become popular in the last decade. As I've become a "senior citizen" it helps me continue to maintain stamina during a time of life in which our natural strength tends to wane. This product has become a part of my daily/weekly supplements regimen.

I really enjoy this Maca product and I had better effects than with the two previous brands I tried. It worked very well for the first couple weeks of taking it and then I hit a bump where it wasn’t working as well. I tried another (lower quality) brand that was recommended and things were great again, but I noticed recently that the lower quality brand is a higher mg of Maca per capsule, so I am planning to try this brand again and just up my dosage to get better results. I spoke to my doctor about it that recommend Maca in the first place and she basically said that I metabolize faster than most people, so with this brand I was taking the recommended 2 capsules 2x daily for a total of 2000 mg a day - with the other brand I am taking 2 capsules 3x daily with a capsule amount of 995mg, so a total of almost 6000 mg daily which seems to be the perfect amount. With my doctors guidance, since this is higher quality I will start with 2 capsules 3x daily for 3000 mg a day and work from there - I will review again with results! I know this is already extremely long but I want to mention the benefits I personally have from Maca as a 23 year old female. - Increased sex drive - All day energy - Regulated my menstrual cycle (TMI: used to be heavy and happen twice a month for 5-8 days on average, now it is once a month for 3-5 days and PMS symptoms majorly improved) - Improved my anxiety (diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder - it did not CURE my anxiety but keeps me more calm and less panic attacks on average) - Weight loss! (This was a huge one because I read it causes weight gain, but I am thinking it regulated my estrogen to cause me to lose weight overall, specifically in my stomach, and my butt is now huge and my breasts are larger as well. This is without exercise or diet change.) - Better sleep quality Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head, but it is not a placebo because I also have ADHD and sometimes forget to take my medications and supplements and definitely notice a difference when stopping. Everyone is different of course, but I highly recommend this product.

Macca tablets that provide an energy boost, it contains 3 types of Macca powder in fairly large capsules but they slip down easily enough with a drink. I have been taking them a week now and so far have had no side effects of any kind, they are good value for money as you get a lot in the tub, they appear to be a quality product and have no weird after taste.
