The Fall of the House of Usher

Got the penguin classic edition...If your new to Poe this collection is a good start.Has a few poems, some short stories and a few letters/essays by him.The stories included are some of his most famous (the raven/house of usher) as well as some less know.Fairly chunky though so not the best for travel.

I first saw this as a teenager and fell in love with it. The acting is spot on and the sets are beyond imagination. It's amazing that the original book was only about twenty pages long but so immersive. Of course, Vincent didn't have to do much acting ... he just turned up on set, put on a costume and started being himself. Love it.

I bought this product from ChironMediaLtd.Absolutely horrible condition.Mud stains are all over the book and the cover is in tatters.There's seriously a shoe stamped upon the first page.I don't even understand if this is a joke or what.I repeat, HORRIBLE CONDITION.

The Fall of the House of Usher, with its spooky castle, is intertextual with Walpole's Castle of Otranto and one of the pillars of original Gothic writing. An unsettling and macabre read it doesn't disappoint.

The language in this narrative is incredible and is a far cry compared to the vaguely inept linguisism of today

A timeless gothic literary book

A must for the bookshelf of anyone interested in Victorian Gothicism.
