I have not noticed any signs of leakage, it is like a clear to milky color and watery consistency. We keep these in a basket in the ladies staff bathroom at work for anyone to use. They are a big hit. After trying one in a coffee splatter emergency it saved my day and so I bought another one, and I saw a similar thing with a coworker, which she spilled something on a white blouse and use the stain marker. She was able to make it through her day without a mark on her shirt; and walked around raving about great it worked. For the price these are a wonderful product. I would say everyone should keep one of these in a purse, kitchen or laundry drawer; a glove compartment or in their desk drawer. I don’t know how long the pens last though or if they dry out easily.; but at they work really well when new on water-based stains. They save the day if you need to get stains out of light shirts.
