Bought to add extra strength to a divan bed base. Expected it to be wider as per description. The length is perfect (150cm), the width is 50cm but could be wider both for a bed & for a sofa. Good quality & much sturdier than described by some other reviews. Great value for money. Think I'll be ordering 2 more soon. Feels like it will last a long time. As for appearance, it's black material like most under cussion parts of a sofa
