The glass is heavy, the handle bulky, the lights are dim. But decisively, the magnification is much overstated. The focal length can be easily determined by measuring the distances between a smartphone light, the lens, and a reflecting surface, when the light is focused on the surface. In my case, it is about 0.2 m each side, which means the lens has a power of 10 (m exp -1) and a magnification of 0.25 m * 10 (m exp -1) +1 =3.5, which is verified by what you observe. Thus the description is deceptive. Buyer beware!
