It works - and can handle 13 amps!
The product is rated for the international 16A standard, hence its ability to easily handle the UK's 13A devices without any sign of overheating (unlike all too many 13A-rated devices).One particular important caution: it has a slightly strange cable connection system - I found I had to use cables with solid core wires, not multistranded, for the connection to be successful.On the positive side, it has been working for over a month without even a single dropped connection to my wifi; the unit is cold to the touch (unlike one well known manufacturer's device which melted its 13A fuse while in operation); the app works and is easy to use. All in all, it does exactly what it says - and does it very well.In the UK it does need to connected to a separate fused outlet as it does not incorporate a fuse itself.
