I used this to apply oil based stain and top coat to a large hardwood outdoor trellis and several hardwood doors. These brought a lot of coating material to the surface and helped spread it out. Then I back brushed it with a natural bristel brush and it looked like glass had been laid on the surface. I liked the fact that there was zero shedding so I didn't have to worry about lint in the finish. And even if the cover seemed dry I could always squeeze a lititle more out of it.

I was apprehensive to buy these because of mixed reviews, but they have worked out great for me. The most common thing I read on here is that they glide, but I only found that to be true when I had too much paint on the roller. Once it spreads out, it rolls nice and even. I have used a few and was able to wash them (right after painting) and re-use them so they are durable. Mini rollers are the best and these are definitely worth the price!

I'm having a hard time making these roll easily across my projects. It's like the roller just gets stuck in place and slides, rather than rolls, pushing a line in the paint, not layering nicely. They are a bit more trouble than they are worth to me. If anyone has a trick, I'm all ears. As for now, sadly, I could not recommend these.
