Lowrance 5-inch Fish Finder with SplitShot Transducer and GPS Plotter (000-14016-001)

Perfect size for my 170 proline. It came and was missing the power cord. Contacted the seller and they apologized and sent me one right away. Very happy.

Just hooked it up worked great right out of the box. I replace a obsolete unit and now have two hooks now

I bought the Lowrance for my boat and it was fairly easy to hook up. I received it promptly.

I have two boats and wanted to purchase a simple fish finder with GPS for my 16 footer that I use on the smaller lakes. The Lowrance Hook2=5x GPS seemed to be the ideal match for what I was looking for. Installation and setup was easy and it performed well the first two times I went to the lake. The third time was a different story, the unit would not power up. After disconnecting and reconnecting the unit I finally got it to power up on the third try. The unit worked for about 10 minutes then the screen would freeze up and the unit was useless for the remainder of the day. I have a four year old 700 Hummingbird on my other boat and never had a problem with it. I guess I should have spent the extra money and went with Hummingbird. Anyway I contacted Amazon who in turn contacted the third party seller which informed me I have to go through the warranty process. This does not sit well with me because the unit is less than two months old and worked only twice. Now I'll probably be without the unit for at least a month or more. Will resubmit a review when I get the unit back from warranty,

Works great once i figured it out. I almost sent it back...but the error was on my. Customer service for Lowrance is awesome Only put 4 stars because I found it cheaper somewhere else after the fact.

I highly recommend reading the manual. Good unit, easy to operate. Good value.

It work like a charm but then it started shutting itself off after by 5 to 10 minutes And now it turn to self off soon after you turn it on.

Unit was easy to install , but it did not come with clear instructions on how to set up any of the features , gps , sonar , downscan . It comes in auto mode which seems to work ok . Clearer instructions or operation manual would be nice .
