Great for older kids
If you've ever built a gundam model before, you'll see the similarities with this space set. The pieces are attached by plastic bits into a plastic frame so it almost resembles sheets of different parts. You spin/twist each part to remove from the frame, but that tends to leave a residual bit so keep a pair of nail clippers handy to smooth it out (unless you love these kinds of models, then I suggest investing in the gundam model clippers that snip very cleanly and easily). I got this for my 10yo niece who loves building lego sets, robots, and just got into beginner coding kits. This set comes with 6 different models for her to assemble so will definitely keep her interest for a while (the dog is so cute). I think this set is recommended for ages 8-12, but you'll definitely need to assist if your kiddo is on the younger side or isn't too familiar with building models with smaller parts. Older kids (10+) can put these together fairly independently, but an adult being available to help when needed is always great.
