... told by a children's hairdresser that this brush is amazing but I have to say it's just okay
I was told by a children's hairdresser that this brush is amazing but I have to say it's just okay. She still felt the snarls and tangles pull even when I'm gentle and use detangling spray. She doesn't like the way this brush feels on her scalp, either. She has long (to her waist) blonde hair and wants to keep growing it to either donate or become Rapunzel (she's only 6). I have to use lots of detangling spray, braid her hair every night and use satin pillowcases for her ( that helps!). But by far the BEST brush we have tried is called "The Wet Brush". Wet or dry, that brush is the gentlest and has avoided many tears. Buy that instead if you're looking around.

Love these
My 20 month old daughter has pretty curly hair and she was starting to get little dreads because I couldn't get the snarls out with those little baby brushes. If I used an adult brush she would run away. These are great- her hair gets brushed and no one cries. We own two so we have one upstairs and on the main floor. Love them.

Unbalanced and hard to use
Overall I do not like this brush, although it has its good points. I have long, straight, thin, baby fine hair and the brush goes through the hair well. However, the brush is heavy, the handle not ergonomic, and it is unbalanced in the hand. When I approach my head, especially near my face, I strike near my temple and it hurts. No matter how careful I am in trying to approach my head slowly, the brush lands with uncomfortable force. The head is too heavy. The handle is too wide for my adult hand and not long enough. I have used the brush for over a week now so it isn't a matter of getting accustomed to it.The brush collects more hair than my previous brush, and it is hard to clean out. There is a standard nibbed plastic bristle underneath which is a shorter, regular straight bristle. Sorry, I don't know how to describe this double bristled aspect.I purchased two, one as a gift for young friends. I let the 7 year old use my brush, and it was flailing around in her hand as she approached her head. The lack of balance was very evident. I don't imagine the 4 year old will be able to handle this at all. This was not a good purchase.

Awful
I bought this brush because I have 3 daughters with very sensitive heads, and brushing thier hair almost always results in tears. If anything, the tears are worse. Even I notice that there was more pain with this brush than the old one. I took it away from them and started using it on myself because it wasn't cheap, however I had to throw it away when the brushes completely broke off. I am beyond disappointed, and I my expectations weren't very high to begin with.

Not Magical at All
I have been searching for a brush that would detangle my long hair for awhile now. I have tried 2 products from Amazon so far and this one was a failure. I wear my hair up in a messy bun most days and when I take it down it is so tangled up. I was optimistic about this brush because it looks like it would be magical and not hurt when I brush out my hair. This is not so. It hurt my head and took a long time to get out the tangles. I wouldn't waste your time.

Smoobbe Magic No Cry Hairbrush lives up to its name.
I bought this hairbrush for my daughter and I must say I wished that I had bought it sooner. She no longer yells out when I brush her hair. The turquoise color is perfect for her and she enjoyed putting the stickers on her new brush.

Not no cry.
Unfortunely this brush didn't live up to its name. My 9 year old grand-daughter hates it. She still cries when I try & brush her hair. Not worth $9.00.
