I’ve probably built close to 50 of these kits over the years from a lot of different companies and this was by far my favorite. It’s very challenging but sturdy. Not a beginner friendly puzzle but well made and very fun.

This is an advanced level model. It takes skill and experience from building several other models to do it justice. Some parts are tricky and complicated. Patience is definitely required. That said, it is very fun to build. Lots of parts that add to the realism of the design.

parts fit really well, finished product is awesome. Customer service in incredible. Warning: be very careful following instructions. Sometimes assembly is vague but you can figure it out.

My only complaints: not enough ink used in the manual, resulting in poor detail definition in spots; the ladder elevation retention mechanism is poor.Aside from that, this model is amazing! EVERYTHING worked perfectly on the first pass. The outriggers work smoothly and the engine runs smoothly on demand. Parts are generally difficult to remove from sheets, since the material used is about 4mm thick. This can be resolved by using a flexible pad beneath the sheets and sharply tapping the parts out. Assembly fit is very tight, but everything is wonderfully desigened, engineered, and detailed. Be careful with the engine assembly ... there is a cam used to engage the motor, the major lobe must be oriented correctly and it is advisable to heavily lube it and work it in before final assembly.When finished this thing is awesome! The very functional outriggers will support the ladder at full extension and 90 degree deflection.WISH LIST:Gear shift to motorize ladder extension.Better detail views of "difficult" sub-assemblies.Sharper definition of extension lines in illustrations.A more functional ladder elevation mechanism.Best of luck as you wander through multiple parts sheets for many sub-assemblies!

This was my 12th project,reading a print putting pieces together and most of all it works and displays a finished look.

The detail of this model is amazing. Each peace fits with precision. Everything works. Cab doors open. Cabinets open. Tormentors actually go down and up. I am now working on the aerial ladder so not quite finished. Instructions are good. The hardest part was getting the coiled metal strip in place for winding up the motor to propel the wheels.

This is a great wooden model. Complex- I’m enjoying it quite a bit.Throwing a question out there, because I don’t know where else to turn:I managed to break part #46, part of the spring assembly- and broke it beyond repair. Is there any way I can get another one so I can finish this truck properly?
