Cool radio with a nice sound. As far as FM and AM go, picks them up great. Even shortwave comes in good and strong, even better if you connect a wire to the end. This radio has a good receiver for the price. If you are into shortwave, just be aware that this radio does not pick up side band. If you do not know what that is, then you probably do not need to worry about it. So if you are interested in picking up ham radio communications, then this is not the radio for you. But if you want to try picking up short wave radio stations from far away lands, this radio will do that, but it depends on location and your antenna. Using the built in antenna in your home will not work that great. But you can buy an inexpensive antenna (or expensive active antenna) and this radio really shines. But I love the fact that I can charge it with the sun, which it works perfectly, or a hand crank.

Add a short wave antenna that simply clips to the telescopic antenna for even better reception without extending the telescopic antenna "Not included". Although I believe it was suppose to be included. A ton of great features for such small hand held device!

I have a home based emergency radio station that is fine with me , but had my portable emergency radio stolen from me over the summer. So I decided I try and find something better and I believe that this is it. My other radio had digital tuner and would miss weather band am/fm station that this one doesn’t miss. This can also be tuned in digital if you choose. However I like how you can go through 7 bands of shortwave and catch stations I didn’t know was there.

I would give this radio 5 stars but for two reasons: 1) The output is monaural. WTH? Even my 40 year-old cassette player is in stereo. 2) There is no marking on the volume dial to indicate what the level is at. Otherwise, it's an excellent radio.

Small, compact and worked as described.

I bouth this radio, and used ut for about a week. It worked verywell in that short time and I verymuch enjoyed the speaker and radio quality. However after switching from Bluetooth to Radio the RE 40 screen froze and has been stuck Unresponsive for 2 days. There is no emergency shut off, holding the power button does nothing because the radio isn't processing any inputs. nothing will respond. You cannot use the flashlight, SOS, or any other system possibly until the battery has fully died and the radio can be charged and hard rebooted. In this state It is a small, green brick with a small red light with no other functionality. I am beyond disappointed, I very much liked using this radio, but not being able do do anything once the unit has frozen itself means it it completely unreliable. I do not know if letting the battry die will even solve this issue or even how long that might take as all it is doing is powering a single red light.

Bought this for when the electric grid goes down and it will soon. Better to have it and not need it to need it and not have it. Price was right, sound is okay, it's compact and fits perfectly in my hand. Easy-to-use. Looks like decent quality.

Great little radio, also like the blue tooth connectivity. It has locked up on blue tooth twice, but holding the on/off button down while then pressing down and also holding down the band button for approximately 5 to 10 seconds unlocked it. Not sure if the band button was required to unlock it as during the first lock-up I was just trying various combinations and hold times to get it to unlock and during the second time I just repeated the sequence. Other than that, it is definitely a great buy.

Ich bin ein Hifibastler und arbeite als mein Hobby alte Hifitechnik aus den 70‘ern + 80‘ern auf (Tonbandgeräte, Kassettendecks, Radios, Plattenspieler usw.). Durch dieses Hobby weiß ich, was klanglich möglich ist und habe immer einen Vergleich zu neuen Geräten. Nun habe ich mir aus Interesse einfach mal ein paar kompakte Radios gekauft, um zu sehen, was heutzutage angeboten wird und ich war teilweise wirklich positiv überrascht. Die Firma Raddy kannte ich vorher noch nicht, nun besitze ich bereits 5 Radios von Raddy. Auch wenn einige Geräte scheinbar eine Gemeinschaftsproduktion mit anderen Herstellern zu sein scheint (z.B. Retekess), bewerte ich hier mithilfe meiner Erfahrungen die Firma Raddy. Hier geht es nun um das Notfallradio Raddy RE-40 mit Monoausgabe: Das Gehäuse / die Funktionen: - absolut saubere Verarbeitung und außergewöhnliches Design - schönes breites Sendersuch-Rad mit einer Walzenskala - eine doppelte LED Lichterkette vorn wird zur Anzeige von (VU) Pegel, verschiedenen Funktionen oder zum Akkustand verwendet - die Walzenskala kann zusätzlich rot beleuchtet werden - analoges Lautstärkepoti - Bluetooth - MP3 Wiedergabe von einer Micro-SD Karte mit zusätzlichen Steuertasten auf der Rückseite - integrierte LED Taschenlampe - Stromversorgung über eingebauten Akku, USB-C, Kurbeldynamo + Solarpanel Das Solarpanel auf der Rückseite ist hier mal erfreulicher Weise größer als bei anderen Prepperradios, wo sie nur ein mickriger Witz darstellen. Trotzdem reicht hier die Größe der eingebauten Solarzellen ebenfalls niemals aus, um den Akku in annehmbarer Zeit überhaupt voll zu laden. Gleiches gilt für den Dynamoantrieb – nur für den Notfall eines leeren / toten Akkus geeignet. Der Empfang: Der Sendersuchlauf gestaltet sich hier als ein Designhighlight, da sich direkt mit dem Rad eine interne Walze mitdreht, die sämtliche Frequenzbereiche anzeigt. - Sender rasten sauber und einfach ein - störungsfreie Wiedergabe fast komplett ohne Rauschen eines eingestellten Senders (im FM Bereich) - zwischen den Sendern gibt es eine Rauschunterdrückung Der Klang: Der interne Mono-Lautsprecher besitzt eine zusätzliche Bassmembrane auf der Vorderseite, welche den tiefen Klang etwas hervorheben kann. Trotzdem ist der Gesamtklang nicht ganz so breit gefächert, wie ich mir das gewünscht hätte. Es fehlt an Höhen, der Klang ist nicht ganz so schön klar wie bei anderen Raddy-Radios. Mit eingestöpselten Hifikophörern setzt sich das leider etwas fort – Monoklang, dem die Höhen und Bässe etwas fehlen. Es fehlt die Möglichkeit einer Klangregelung. Der Stromverbrauch: - Leider konnte ich wegen dem fest verbauten Akku keine eindeutige Messung durchführen, da hier bei Anschluss einer externen Versorgung über USB-C immer gleich der interne Akku geladen wird. Fazit: Im Allgemeinen ein schönes und außergewöhnliches Design-Prepper-Radio mit sehr angenehmer Senderwahl über das Walzenrad und sehenswerter VU-Anzeige. Jedoch ist der Klang etwas ausbaufähig. Ich vergebe trotzdem 5 Sterne und eine Kaufempfehlung für Sammler, die etwas optisch Besonderes haben wollen.

Muy práctico. La radio se oye bien, buena linterna, carga rápidamente... de momento estoy muy contento con la compra.

It's a simple waste of money. This product won't suit India. I have returned the radio, and it's been almost 25 days and more. Still, the product dealer has not refunded the amount of Rs.15011/-
