FRINGE STUDIO Happy Breeds Large Paperback Journal (841019)

I loved this notebook, and I am actually using it for a homemade cookbook with some of my favorite recipes to give to a family friend for Christmas. I do wish that the binding was a bit stronger, but it just means in this case I have to be careful when writing in it before I gave it to someone.

I adore this journal. The pages viewed from the side are all gilded, the bookmark is great as it allows me to get back to where I was easily. The page thickness feels god, and the gold accents on the front cover catch the light beautifully. The journal doesn't lie completely flat when opened but I suppose it would if I pressed down on it some more. It's a joy to write in.

I love the cover and the message. All of my other Fringe journals have been spiral and I’ve never had a problem. This one has a glued binding which has broken away with use, and I’m less than halfway through. I like a journal to lie flat when it’s open.

The notebook is pretty, but the pages have begun to fall out.
