I purchased this mirror for my antique vanity table, which I do use regularly, but try to keep decked out with vintage-looking utilitarian items needed while making oneself up. I was in need of a vanity mirror for doing detailed make-up, but it couldn’t be just any plain old mirror atop my beautiful table.And then I stumbled upon this one. Let’s start with what I’m sure most of you probably want to know: Is it as beautiful is it as portrayed in the ad? Oh my gosh! So much moreso!! I chose the turquoise, which matches my stool and some of my other tabletop items, and also for the ladybugs because that’s my Mom’s nickname for me lol. The colors are more vibrant in person. The frame is lovely, thick enamel and brass with a few rhinestones encrusted in it. For now I’m keeping the classical picture in the back frame that comes in it. It doesn’t have the size emblazoned on it giving it that picture-that-came-with-the-frame look. It just looks like a lovely picture. I was honestly pleasantly shocked at how much prettier this is in person. If this style appeals to you, I don’t think you will be let down by the product.While I haven’t used it yet, I can tell you enough about the mirror. It came intact and is not warped. If you read the description you know it is not magnified nor is there a magnified mirror on the flip side. There is, however, a picture frame that unscrews, and if you loved this mirror but just HAD to have a magnified mirror, you could probably have one cut the right size and put it in place of the picture frame glass. I myself don’t want magnification at this time but could consider that in the future as I really do love this mirror.
