AutarkyDry Adult Chicken Dog Food, 15 Kg

This food is much much better for your dog than the usual supermarket rubbish and it is an extremely good price for the ingredient content so give it a go. However, they didn't get excited for meal times but would eat it with wet dog food on (probably just not to their taste). We are trying another brand but if that doesn't work out we would definitely give this another go as for the price it really is a good quality food.

When i first got my English Springer Spaniel as a puppy 1 year ago, i decided to change his food off pedigree or whatever it was and onto something better. I began my research and after many many threads, reviews, comparison sites later, i came to the conclusion based on what i had read that dog food you can buy in a supermarket is simply no good. This mean baker, wagg, pedigree etc. With that discovery, i still had to find something for my dog to eat that was the best for him but also was affordable, easy to buy when i needed to and also easy to progress from puppy to adult to mature.From many threads, 2 popular mentioned foods were Autarky but mainly Arden grange. Researching both, arden grange looks like great food for dogs however it is slightly more expensive and the numerous options confused me which ultimately made me choose autarky for its simpler products.What a great decision, this adult 15kg chicken comes well packaged and at 15kg, this is great value (many dog foods are 10kg or 12kg). My dog loves it and have even have even had other food fussy dogs try to pinch some from my dogs bowl!The kibble comes as small cubes and i personally dont find the odour too overpowering which is fantastic though if left open, some smell may develop. The dog weight/food volume guidelines on the back are helpful though i dont stick to it as i know my dog well and give him more due to the amount of exercise he gets. His coat has always been very white and shiny which i believe is down to his diet as i have yet to see another springer with a coat as nice as mine has. Many people at the park always ask how his coat looks so nice so i think thats a great sign of what great food this is.Autarky can be bought from a few websites online (yet to find it in a shop) and thankfully the cheapest that ive seen it is from amazon plus with prime is a huge bonus for me. Means ill never get caught short with food so im very happy with this product and even happier with amazons service.Highly recommended!

Taken them a while to get used to it. Much better value than Burns but seems to have more fillers (corn / maize) which basically just passes straight through. I'm still in two minds about whether to go back to Burns or stick with this. The dogs seem just as fit on Autarky so I subbose that's what matters not the amount of poo to clean up!

Well, We have recently changed to this due to the old dogfood my Kelpie and Gordon Setter were on went up in price and I didn't think it was worth it! What can I say - This food has worked wonders! I don't know how but my Kelpie is now calm! He used to be wired to the moon! But since changing to this the difference is night and day! There must have been too much energy content in the old stuff cuz he is lovely and sooky and not bouncing off the walls! Not to mention they seem to be fuller quicker, for longer! AND their coats are beautiful and shiny and glossy. This is totally worth a try - I will be sticking with it now :) Oh - and my Gordon Setter was a fuss pot, really picky when he ate and didn't eat - now he clears the bowl as soon as its put down!

My dog likes this...I think prefers Harrington's though but I mix them up. She's fussy & always eats this &,the other one I mentioned & is also prone to wind but these are both great & no more gassy doggy... Great/best price on Amazon (subscribe & save) & love that it's delivered direct to the door!! Highly recommend.

5 stars from Barney, though I (the human monkey) will only give it 3 stars because of its "high" level of maize used. Today, however, is only the first day of feeding him on Autarky Dry Adult Chicken but he really likes it - which is quite remarkable as he can be a bit of a picky eater as sometimes has to be reminded to eat!

Was good value at £20 BUT has just gone up by £10 so Not so good anymoreOr get 12 Kg for the same price.so with a few more £`s you can get much better dry foods for your dog.Also shop around as Here is NOT the cheapest.

I switched to this after another hypo-allergenic brand I used to get from Amazon was no longer being delivered to Ireland. This is very similar to what my dog was on before if not a little better. He seems to enjoy it, the price is good, although the exchange rate is stupid at the moment. He has been on it for a good while now and I am very happy with it. Just the other day I had the owner of the daycare he goes to ask what I feeding because he can't get over how healthy he looks, how shiny his coat is and how good his poos are. Its very reasonably priced in comparison to some other brands, that are of similar quality but much more expensive.
