This tv speaker works very well for a senior that has to have the tv volume up loud. I set this up for my mother and it works wonders. It sets on her night stand next to her bed and she can hear it better. No more volume coming from the tv itself only through the speaker on her nightstand. Would highly recommend this speaker for anyone who has to have the tv volume up loud that blows everyone out of the room.

This is the 3rd unit I have purchased for our parents!! I have friends that have purchased for their parents and friends!! Be sure to buy the unit that has the extra power cord for the speaker so their can carry the speaker however far the signal will reach. My Mother-in-law takes hers outside to listen to the news.

It has helped a lot with clarifying words and being able to set the volume separately from the TV - - yes the unit volume is unique to the TV's. This really helps in an open concept house where noise carries thru all the rooms. Now my wife can listen to TV at her volume, and I can do what I need to hear. I use ear buds when we are both watching.The one thing that I find a bit annoying when listening without the buds is that the sound produces a bit of an echo.The battles over "to loud" or each of us turning up our sound due to the other, have ended.....thank God!

It is small and easy to pick up and carry. I had to connect it thru earphone outlet on TV, which cut the TV sound off. It is clear and I feel it is of good quality. Volume control works well. For me using it thru earphone outlet was an easy setup. I am using it in my bedroom.

I bought this item for my bedroom and it works great, I am now able to watch television with the whole house hearing my movies, however I bought one for my family room and I had to return it as it kept cutting out. I returned it and got a new one but it did the same thing, thinking it might be that one television I brought the one from my bedroom and used it in the family room, still working great. So I have returned 2 of this same product but I like the one in my bedroom so much I am trying this again, so a 5 star rating for one and a zero star rating for the other 2, I sure hope the next one I get works!As of December 2024 neither of the speakers work, they both started to cut in and out all the time, then nothing. The first one I bought worked for a full six months and then died completely. The second one only worked for about 6 weeks and then it would come and go, when I first turned it on it would work for about 1 hour an then stop. You might want to skip this item and look elsewhere

Big help for anyone with hearing difficulties. My wife uses this all the time. One bonus is it she has to check something in the kitchen she can carry it with her.
