Putting aside the problems I encountered with delivery (3 were broken in transit), I would not be able to recommend this product to any potential buyer at the current price of £130The item looks attractive and solidly-built in the pictures but, in reality, is extremely light weight and not very strong. Despite the 'wood construction' claim by the supplier, it is built from low-density chipboard with a cheap and brittle vinyl coveringAnother problem is that the shelves in my unit were cut 1 to 1.5mm too wide and would not fit in without forcing them, which bowed the side panels outwards and put stress on the fixings at the top and bottom (remember, this is chipboard, not decent wood)The only redeeming features are the glass doors. These are 4mm thick with a nice opaque 40mm (1.5" approx.) border around the outside . However, as they are constructed from heavy tempered glass, they weigh much more than the chipboard casing and the unit is prone to topple over. Wall fixings are provided but these look unsightly. Furthermore, there is a 10mm (3/8") gap on the left and right hand side between the glass and the casing so the doors offer absolutely no protection from dust or moistureThe hinges are possibly the worst feature. They are injection moulded from a cheap, flexible plastic, as are the screws for clamping the glass into the hinge. I have no confidence that the glass will stay in place over time. For safety, the hinges would need to be steel or diecast at least. Also, there is no magnetic catch to hold the door in place, so unless the unit is installed upright, the doors tend to remain slightly ajar - and there is no facility for adjustment like you have with the metal hinges in kitchen units or flat pack furnitureThe main problem for potential buyers is the price. I ordered a white unit priced at £130 and because of this pricing and the fact that it claims to German-made, I convinced myself that it must be a quality product. It is not. If this was on display in a furniture shop, I'm certain it wouldn't fetch much more than £30I will be contacting Amazon to return the item with a full refund

Went against my better judgment and against the reviews, mainly because I couldn’t see anything else in black and with doors.What a mistake, as with the other reviews, poor quality, plastic hinges and silly plastic doors handles, if I sold this on fully assembled I doubt I’d get a tenth of the price.
