Item complete rubbish
Do not waste your money. Complete junk tbh. Flimsy , meat constantly blocking even when chopped fine. Hopper feeder way to small , takes hours to make sausages.

I used this grinder and I'm still alive.
Having read some of the reviews for this grinder, you would be forgiven for thinking it might be the last thing you ever buy. I was certainly concerned when I read them after ordering! However, I was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived and I used it. Based on other people's photos I decided to clear out any small metal chips or other debris by mincing a carrot before putting any meat through it. The carrot came out clean as far as I could see with no contamination which gave me some confidence! I then gave it a very thorough wash (a lot easier than I expected, it disassembles nicely for cleaning). I then minced some diced beef to make burgers and it couldn't have been easier. No, it didn't make a mess. No, the meat wasn't turned to mush. No, the blade isn't made of plastic (the internal screw/auger is, but does the job). No, the grinding plate didn't disintegrate. And no, you don't have to be a weightlifter to turn the handle. I minced about a pound of beef and the whole thing can't have taken more than 5 minutes - bear mind this was my first time ever mincing meat. I was left with proper mince that made decent burgers. As one review shows, there was some very light scuffing on the grinder plate due to the movement between metal parts. I think this is almost inevitable on a manual grinder of this kind and it is only just visible so I'm not concerned. I can't speak for others but I would happily recommend this product based on my own experience.

Works. but could be better
When I was looking at this item, I really hesitated. Because of all the reviews stating it doesn't work or is grinding metal dust into the food. I went ahead anyway and I would say, I am somewhat happy. I can't speak for the other people but I have to assume they did not wash it and all the parts before the first use. I'm assuming the main body is dycast with the other pieces cut or stamped out plus the threads being routed out. Yes there was a fair amount of metal dust and debris. This was easliy taken care of by a good first scrub with soapy water and the rough side of a sponge, followed by firmly drying with a towel, checking for any remaining discolouration. So far, after 3 uses, I have not noticed any scrapes or scratches on the plate. My first attempt at making some sausages went ok. Using a low fat to meat ratio with pork shoulder, duck and smokey bacon. Yeah the plate did get clogged and was a litttle tedious to clean, but It wasnt a problem during the grinding. However. My last attempt, upping the fat ratio, to about 20-25% did become a problem. The blade and plate cannot handle it. Most of the fat in my meat mix was extracted when cleaning the grinder, in the form of stringy pulp. I had to open and scrape off the plate twice during 1kg of meat. As a novice, its sort of adequate but definitely a starter product

This meat grinder does a really good job.
My recommendation is that you buy it. This product's blade cuts very well. So, it's worth the money..Chop the meat into small pieces before putting it in the meat grinder.

A must in the kitchen
I decided to make American hash but didn’t have the equipment. Years ago I threw my metal, rust invested grinder away! However, I searched Amazon and found exactly what I needed. Purchased. Arriving the following day I proceeded to make my HASH! …..opened the box followed the well explained instructions and merrily proceeded and what a joy! Easy to assemble and before I could say “Bingo” my cast aluminium alloy mincer was turning happily away with my meat to perfectly ground morsels. Cant say enough a must! And if really adventurous……make your own sausages. Although Amazon produces everything under the sun and more……for me it was a joy to discover something so useful and even better @ a good price! Buy it……certainly won’t be disappointed..

A Massive disapointment!!!
I have bought that one because i tought that is a fair price and when I was a kid we used to have a similar one and it was very handy. But that wan is a lie. The pictures is accurate in one way, but there is a massive issue with the shaft inside it. IT IS PLASTICK, cheap one, the old style we had had a massive iron one, but this is not. Also when i used it the first time and started to screw the handle on it it felt the thread will snap, so i had to go realy easy on it. Second when i started to put som meat in it it was feel like it gona snap it any moment, absolute a waste of money. I would advice you guys, dont buy that one bu one a bit more expensive or an electric one. This is a waste of money

Works on a small amount of product not great and easy to bend look it minces but quality wise just spend the extra bit to get a dropper one this one will just about do house hold food . The clamp if you tighten to much takes the cap of so your left with a screw instead of a clamp the the bard from clamp to mincer bends extremely easy
