Quality item at bargain price
This is an extremely well-made fork. It looks good too. The handle is robust and comfortable to use. The shaft is just the right length for me. The material used for the tines appears to be high-quality carbon steel, very nicely shaped and welded. There is no tendency for the tines to bend, although I am sure they would do so if I tried using the fork as a lever instead of a fork. There is no tendency for the tines to twist at the weld-ends., nor of the welds to shear or crack. I have a fork, make unknown, that I have used intensively for 30 years and the Kent & Stowe one bears an extremely close resemblance to it. It looks set to last at least as long. An absolute bargain at the price. So, if the old fork was that good, why buy a new one? A friend needed a decent fork so I gave the old one to him and replaced it with the K&S one.

function good - handle poor
I decided to spend a little more on a fork, as I usually make do with a cheap one. So disappointed - the actual fork is great and does a good job, but there is a SHARP join inside the handle that cut my hand! So have gone back to my old cheapie on which is shame.

Been using this to dig trenches for a building our garden I must say it's very very good quality I initially bent one of the prongs as we were taking roots out of the ground and managed to beind it back again that by no means we can get the fork very very strong & often broken flints great product highly recommend

Brilliantly made.
I had recently bought a Kent and Stowe spade and been very impressed with the quality of it.I ordered the digging fork off the back of that experience and the quality is equally good.If you want a top quality fork, this is it.

After 2 years, the handle snapped! 10 year warranty was honoured with minimal fuss
Revised October 2022:I kept my original review below, but after a couple of years, the handle snapped, as you can see in the pictures. It wasn't being used really hard (not digging clay, trying to pull up the roots of a plant or something similar). But was just trying to turn over the soil in flower beds.Looking at the handle where it broke, it was just brittle, almost like balsa wood. It seems like either the wood was poor quality, or was kiln dried too aggressively (I don't know, speculating).I had made a point to register for the 10 year warranty, and claiming was really easy. Literally an email with some pictures (the same as I posted here), and within the same day, I was asked for the correct address for a replacement, which arrived within a week or so.I'm going to buy a replacement handle and fit is, so ultimately I'll end up with 2 forks!----------original review below------------------Reviews, both on here and other places drew me to this fork. I ended up getting it from Amazon because there was stock and even with the postage costs from the seller I chose, it was decent value.I consciously chose carbon steel over stainless because stainless can be brittle and less resilient despite being nice and shiny and allegedly less prone to rust.I've had it for a few months now, and used it to dig over our garden, and I've not managed to break the handle nor the fork prongs. it seems pretty tough, I can only imagine that it would break if it was being used for digging through really heavy stuff like clay.It is possible to register it with the makers, Kent and Stowe, to get their 10 year warranty, I've done that, just in case.

Good product at a fair price.
Great for turning over beds not pointed enough for lawn aeration but good solid digging fork.
