Good steps
I used these on my shed. They are good. A little difficult to screw into the step from the bottom. You will need a flexible extension for your drill or screwdriver.

Decent stringers for the price
I bought these as the overall-cheapest option to add a set of dog-size stairs to the other side of my deck to try to save the yard where she's been skidding around the corner off the full-size stairs. They're sturdy once they're installed, but the single layer of metal at the top is not sturdy enough. One arrived bent and it took a few good whacks with a sledgehammer to get it straight enough to mount. They'll still be better than wooden stringers that rot, chip, and break over time though. I *almost* want to take off a star because they are not designed to be able to get the stair treads attached easily. There is NO WAY to get a screwdriver in straight, especially in the holes closer to the back. I ended up having to drill pilot holes at an angle, and fought with it for probably an hour longer than necessary. The metal stringers I bought years ago from a big home store had the holes placed much closer to the edge so you could get at them and install the treads much easier.

They look nice and make the job easier of creating deck stairs.
I really appreciate how this simplifies the creation of deck stairs. They look nice but it's tough to get all the screws in from the bottom side if that's how you want to install the boards.

Sturdy, so far.. =•)
They’re holding the steps leading from my driveway to the porch. They work, but I found out the hard way, do NOT set them with the single metal edge (the upper right part in the picture) on the ground while you’re prepping the area! A slight bend in one of those could (& DID) make me question every tool I had almost every time I’d line them up for a “dry run”! Finally I figured out one of the stringers was bent so kinda smacked it straight again with rubber mallet and it lined up MUCH better.. To answer your next 2 questions, yes this IS my first time doing this and YES, I happen to be BLONDE. LOL
