Very Strong, But I Like These Steamers
I just liked the scent, but it is definitely geared towards men. They work really well in the shower, but it is definitely a strong menthol set, which is also great if you are at all stuffy. It will clear your sinuses right up in the shower, which steam will do that too but menthol is well known for assisting and working better when it's delivered into your system when used in conjunction with steam. They do completely dissolve leaving no residue behind, but also they do not dissolve too fast. Very high quality in my opinion. Would make a great gift for men but really a good one for anyone who loves the shower discs. I hope you find this review helpful!

New formula and packaging
I loved these; so, I was so excited when they brought them back; however, they've changed the formula and packaging. I like the old scent which included eucalyptus, mint and menthol; the new one has only menthol and peppermin, no eucalyptus. Also, I like the old shape and packaging, which was square wih a rip tear tab. The new packaging is round and has a clear plastic film that's a pain to get off. You definitely cannot do it while in the shower. You have to use scissors to get it open. That being said, these are still the best on the market. Hence, the four star instead of five.

Powerful shower steamers
The media could not be loaded. Reviewing: Menthol & Mint Shower Steamers for Men – 6 Pack by Rocky Mountain Barber Company – 2 oz Shower Steamers:This is a set of 6 shower steamers, packaged in a manly way, in a manly-looking box, for any man who has shower steamer envy, but doesn’t want to use the girly ones that smell of rose or lavender. The ingredients listed on the box are: sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, essential oil, zea mays (corn) starch, isopropyl, alcohol, aqua, menthol. They’re not tested on animals, and they’re made in the USA. They will keep for 12 months after opening. Each shower steamer is individually wrapped. If you have a puncture tool, it will help, but you can hack the wrapping off with scissors, or just your strong, manly hands if you feel like it. Care is recommended, because they have a slight tendency to crumble a bit. It’s not catastrophic; just something to be a bit careful about. The instructions for using these shower steamers are given on the box. They’re really good; the fragrance is powerful, with more menthol than mint, I think, and it will clear your sinuses with no trouble at all. They’re white, and won’t stain your shower tile or bathtub. One shower steamer can last for more than one shower, and the fun thing is that they keep fizzing, and they’re probably the noisiest shower steamers I’ve ever tried.Yes, they’re marketed as being for men, but guess what? Women can use these too! At the current price of $18.99, they're not cheap, but I think they're very good quality. If you like strong, powerful shower steamers, you'll love these.

Not very strong
I wanted to really like these steamers but they’re just not that great. They didn’t last long and the scent was weak. Didn’t do much for my congestion.

Smell good, but difficult to open and expensive
The box design is pretty nice, making these feel pretty premium. Each steamer is individually wrapped tightly in plastic...frustratingly difficult to remove plastic, as it's sealed shut, so a sharp knife or something makes opening it easier, but if you're naked in the shower and have only your fingers, well, tread lightly, as these steamers want to crumble with too much pressure. Now that you have carefully removed the annoying plastic wrap you can ---What's that!?!? It's double wrapped?!?! Great. So now you have to carefully tear off the hard-to-remove second wrapping of plastic, clawing at it with your fingers to try to break the tightly wrapped seal but gently enough to not turn the steamer into a pile of powder.Okay, now that you've carefully removed the plastic wrapping twice, you can now enjoy the scents of menthol and mint. The menthol is very strong, but the steamer (not directly in the shower heads water stream) lasts for a decently long shower. I like the smell, but it does remind me a bit Icy Hot/VapoRub, so if those aren't scents you like then this is one to avoid.Besides the terrible individually wrapped steamers, are there any other downsides? I have to point out that these are expensive, with the current (as of the time of this review) price of $18.99, you're paying $3.16 per steamer, which is very high. I typically pay $0.80-1.00 per steamer for ones that are easier to unwrap and last approximately the same length of showering time, so the value proposition on this is extremely poor. I'm knocking off a star each for the terrible wrap packaging and the awful value.

Pricey Shower Steamers
These shower steamers are a bit larger than most other shower steamers that I've used in the past. Perhaps that is why these are a bit expensive? I do like the refreshing minty scent that really does make my showers feel super relaxing. I also like that they are all individually packaged but the packaging is a bit difficult to get off with just your hands (which I found out the hard way while in the shower already). Had to stop the shower and hop out to get something to cut the wrapping off with. Not relaxing. These are obviously a well-made product but I don't know if I can justify the high price tag.

Strong menthol steamers, long lasting in shower
This is a nice collection of shower steamers that have a very strong menthol with a minimal mint component. The steamers quickly fill the shower with a strong menthol aroma that awakens your senses and gets you energized for the day. The shower steamers are thicker than most and easily lasted through my entire shower, many times lasting into the next shower, and the aroma produced lingers in the bathroom even after you finish showering. The steamers are not individually wrapped so you need to keep the box dry and the can show some crumbling when bumped around.Pros: Strong menthol scent, fills shower and bathroom Long lasting steamers Cons: Not individually wrapped, need to be keep dry

Things are gettin' steamy!
So, let's start with the goods:1) Smells fantastic. SO minty. SO strong. SO refreshing.2) Well packaged, nice amount of steamers in the box (6), and each steamer is well-sealed3) Lastly, I like the look of the box, and the price was reasonable. Now, the less goods:1) Even though each steamer is wrapped in plastic (DOUBLE wrapped, actually) AND in a box, the box is still VERY fragrant. To the point that you need to be mindful of what it is stored with. I threw it in my backpack for a getaway, and when I unpacked and unzipped that part of my backpack, the smell was quite strong (in a good way, of course - they smell great), but then IMMEDIATELY I was like 'Oh shoot - I had some snacks in there!'. Thankfully there was no taste-transference, but something to be mindful of.2) There are no instructions / the steamers are almost TOO well-packaged? So, there are some high-level instructions (place steamer in shower, either directly or indirectly being touched by water), but I had a really hard time deciding if they should be put in as-is, or if the outer, clear wrapping needed to be removed. It seemed like plastic, so I worked on unwrapping it, but that was actually somewhat challenging. I ended up having to cut them open with scissors, and once opened, the steamers started to sort of break apart really easily. So between those two things, I did sort of think "Oh, maybe they dissolve, and I wasn't supposed to do that."3) Lastly (and this ties in to the one above), they dissolved very quickly, so it wasn't a long steam, rather quite a short-lived one. So again, maybe the plastic dissolves so the steamer lasts longer that way? At any rate, I'll try putting one in without removing the plastic sometime and see how well that works.Anywho, overall, they smell fantastic, they do make for a nice, refreshing, revitalizing steam, and there are a couple of minor tweaks that could make this great experience perfect.

Nice smell but hard to use for me
The idea and packaging of this is great and I was looking forward to using them but when I tried to do so it just wasn't easy and took away from the experience for me.For one, the individual scented disc is hard to open - it's double-wrapped in plastic and was just hard to get into. I eventually grabbed some scissors to open it. Next it really started to crumble in my hands and so by the time I put it in the shower it wasn't a disc any more, it was a number of crumbled pieces. It still worked fine this way and added a nice scent to the shower but the preparation to use it wasn't what I was expecting or hoping for.For me it was just ok but I can't fully recommend them.
