Q: Does it have different height settings?

Actually, it does have an adjustable height. The wavy blue "skirt" around the blade area can be pulled down for a less-close shave. It has 3 levels. However, I really wanted an even closer option.

Q: how do you put put batteries in the fuzz remover

as below. pull grey compartment lid towards the handle insert batteries (one negative end down, one positive end down. put lid back on. Should work (needs big batteries). In my review I said at the time that it would have been helpful to have had any instructions in a language I recognised. Otherwise a great product.
