Best barefoot shoes
These are my go to gym shoes. The fit is perfect with plenty of room for my toes. They have lasted over a year and look like they have more life. They’re comfortable and took no time to break in.

Too narrow. Defeats the purpose of the shoe.
I really wanted these shoes. The style is probably the nicest I've seen for barefoot shoes. But they need to update the sizing. I'm a short guy, 5'4" and I have small feet, I first tried the smallest size in the men's and it was too big, so I ordered the correct size in women's. But they make the womens shoes narrower (I even emailed the vivobarefoot site to ask that and they confirmed the womens are narrower) and the ones I ordered are the perfect fit in length but are so tight around the front of my foot. Like tighter than my regular shoes, and the whole point of these shoes is to avoid that and be foot shaped. I honestly don't even think they'd be wide enough for a womans foot either. They need to start making all the sizes in the same width or offer a wider version.

Comfy but hard to size
Vivo has a distinctive look, and after seeing someone wearing them locally (what are the odds?!), I decided to give them a try. I used the same cm length I’ve used for my many other barefoot shoes to pick the size from their chart. They were huge. Next I went with Amazon’s recommendation based on millions of purchases 😉 and they were still too big. The lightweight uppers and the sole flexibility were nice, but they were just too long. My foot looked odd - I don’t know if a smaller size would have looked normal but I had tired of the trial and error. Maybe I’ll go to the barefoot shoe event in Denver. Maybe I’ll find some Vivos to try on. For now, I’m Vivo-less in Florida.

I hate shoes and love being barefoot
I’ve had knee problems since I was 17 (ligament tears). In desperate need to heal my knee long term, I found out about the barefoot lifestyle when I was like 25. I didn’t start wearing barefoot shoes until 1 year ago. Doing knee over toes exercises and not Feeling tortured every time I put footwear on has been doing me a solid. These shoes in particular are wonderful. They’re light, comfortable, great for the gym or a run. Although if you have soft feet you might want you might want to put a padded sole in there for more cushion. Personally I love the barefoot feel. These are my first vivos and I’m glad I finally got them. If you like your feet feeling free I highly recommend these.

Absolutely LOVE these!
Context: I am used to being in either sandals or barefoot in home/native contexts. I wanted shoes that provided stability in how I did regular walks and specifically gym visits. & I was sick of bringing these bulky platform sneakers to the gym to lift. I had no lightweight shoes I can feel comfortable in. / Size: My normal size is a 9.5; I got these in a 10. At first I was thrown off because of all the extra real estate in the toe area. Then I realized this is normal and that these are wider in the toe area. I have a bit of room from my toe to the top of the shoe which I like. After 2 days of wearing I definitely feel more comfortable to the sizing. Overall: I AM IN LOVE WITH THESE SHOES. They're so comfortable. I no longer care that they don't look like the slimmest shoes; the all black pair is pretty sleek itself to be honest. Also, set your expectations with barefoot shoes! These are designed to be thin, flexible shoes. I love to use these on rocky paths and feel the grooves of rocks and hills and grass through the shoes on my feet (reminds me of home & is very grounding). This can be VERY unexpected for people who are not used to this! Especially for rocks or harder surfaces. Beware! Know what you are buying.

Just buy some Nikes
I’m pretty upset with this shoe brand because not even a year into wearing them the soles are so worn down, holes are developing in the mesh by the toes, and the end of a lace is severely frayed where an aglet should be. For the price they should be more sturdy. Last I checked, Vivobarefoot’s website will take them and renew them for you but it costs around $120 to do so. What a joke. That’s the price of a new pair of shoes and defeats their whole point. Only reason I did not give it a 1 star is because the shoes were great up until month 10 when they started wearing down. And I only wore these a few times a week for my runs.
