Maurice Pledger Noisy World - Ocean (Maurice Pledger's Sounds of the Wild) Hardcover – 1 Sept. 2007

I've bought from this series "Jungle"  Jungle (Sounds of the Wild) , "Night Time"  Maurice Pleger Noisy World - Night Time (Maurice Pledger's Sounds of the Wild)  and "Ocean" for my son (3 years) and my wife's niece (turning 6).We all liked the "Night Time" the most and "Jungle" comes second.The pop-up elements are really good and the kids like the sounds.They are also educational, but for non-native English speakers hard to read.Before I ordered them, I asked myself why all the books are in Amazon.co.uk twice. Once from Templar Publishing and once from Silver Dolphin. I guess that both books are identically, because even the Silver Dolphin version states that text and design are copyright Templar Company plc.I assume that the Templar edition is aimed for the English market (has an English address in it) and and the Dolphin edition is originally aimed for the USA market (has an address in California in it). The different stated number of pages is probably only because some people have problems counting pages (double pages counted as one page or included title and back cover).

Really good condition and quick delivery. My grandchildren will be very pleased.

Great book for 4 years old. She enjoys looking at pictures in details and listening to the sounds of animals.I don't read the text unless she asks for explanation as it is not a story book.

I love this range of books. We already have Safari and Birds, so this is another one for our collection. My son, 5, has loved these for years, and never seems to grow out of them, In fact the older he gets, the more he gets out of them as now he asks questions and wants more information about the animals depicted in the books

Even though one page sound wasn’t working it was loved by child hearing all the sounds of the ocean.

Love these pop up books, different sounds to each page that you turn,ideal for kids aged 1-2yrs or older.

Very well presented pop-up scenes with associated sounds - things to talk about, and interleaved with some harder facts -might help to lift the age-range who would enjoy this book.
