Burly Slinky Cobalt Electric Guitar Strings 11-52 Gauge

I’ve been a guitarist since 1979 , ive been through A LOT of guitar strings. I put a set of these onto a cobra blue Ultra stratocaster HSS and they performed ( are still performing) FLAWLESSLY! Serious bends when playing leads don’t break them , they sound & feel fantastic, keep perfect tuning well and seem to last a very very long time with Awesome Harmonics . Also if 10s are a little thick but 9s are TOO thin , these 9.5s may be exactly perfect for you . I’ll definitely be getting more of these cobalt slinkys in 9.5-44

I was very scheptical of what these would sound like compared to the hybrid set on my Ibanez, I have A Dimarzio Super Distortion at the neck and a Dimarzio Pro Track in the middle and a Dimarzio x2n at the bridge and the hybrid set sounded good but did have that extra part that was missing in the articulation of heavy riffs and stuff and some of the low end was more muddy sounding and seemed to feel a little off when you set the action and so forth, so i tried out these extra slinky and these blow my mind, its like it still does that low end but it has that extra articulation now with that low notes you get, its insane, and alot easier to pull of pinch harmonics and riffs, ultra smooth fret slides, i am super picky on the guitar, i have my frets polished at 12000 mirror like finish and these just glide so smooth on the frets. If you are ultra scheptical about what strings to get and see so many out there and I am glad i found these as these seem more than good enough for me, now it makes me too addicted to Improv playing again with drum beat in background then playing pc games and stuff :)

These strings are pretty good for the music I play. This is the reason I gave five stars. For Heavy Metal, Modern Rock, Classic Rock, or pretty much anything using distortion, these cobalt strings are great. My only regret is that I should have gotten a larger diameter set. I normally run this size string with other types, but the fatter ones using cobalt definitely sound like they rip. I have no complaints and this size, though. They still sound great. The only thing I noticed was there seems to be a little more fret buzz, but an adjustment would fix that. You cannot hear it through an amplifier, though. When playing clean tones, these things are super bright sounding. Not bad, but I like regular material better. Metal, I don't think you can go wrong.

I installed these strings onto my ESP guitar as soon as I got them in the mail, and I must say it was worth the wait. The first thing I noticed was the feel. These strings are silky smooth, even the low E string. The second thing I noticed was the durability. As I pulled the string across the fretboard I noticed the reaction these strings have to the magnetic pickups...just like Ernie Ball claims, these strings react STRONGLY to magnets. I had to peel these strings off the pickups a few times while I was installing them. Then I noticed the durability of these strings as I tuned them. I felt a fair bit of resistance, much more than my old strings when I first installed them. They're also a lot more sensitive to tuning adjustments, although after leaving them sit for two hours after JUST BEING INSTALLED, they were only 5 cents off on the tuning. A small twitch of the tuning peg and they were back to where they should be. I figured, like any string, I would be fighting with them for the next few days trying to stretch them enough so they'll stay in tune without constant adjustment, but this is my third day of playing with them and they have stayed in perfect tuning since I installed them. I can't guarantee they will work for you the same way, but I know they will hold up to a lot more abuse than many other strings I've used so far. The final thing I noticed was the TONE. These strings sound quite a bit different, they have a much tighter mid to high and they seem to have less of a tendency to chaotically overlap each other's sound. Each string has a distinctive tonality that sets them apart from each other. You play the same note on different strings and you can easily hear the difference between the two. Sustains seem to last forever, and the clarity is incredible...only problem I'm having is trying to explain how it sounds in words...if you decide to buy them, try them with distortion and without, you'll be impressed by their versatility. To summarize, -Strong reaction to the magnets in pickups -Stay in tune very well (for me at least) -Sharp, clear tone -Each string is distinguishable from another -Durable -Silky smooth If you have any questions, shoot a comment if you want, but I am telling you, I would not hesitate to try these strings at least once.

Eu gostei muito do timbre que essas cordas tem, é bem mais brilhante e tem um sustain maior do que a corda que estava usando antes. Com certeza vou comprar esse de novo.

j'ai pas un haut niveau, je joue depuis 2ans, et au debut j'utilisai les cordes de la marque Ibanez, mais elles cassaient régulièrement (1/mois), puis je trouvais le son brouillon... J'ai testé celle-ci voulant un son plus cristallin (même dans l'énervé !) et je suis tombé sur le cul... Le son est précis, ça respond au poil , et ça tient ! j'attend de voir mais déjà 3mois sans soucis à bender et à attaquer :) Le must pour ma part

Definitely a different ring to them from normal slinky. G string seems abit thick but all good. Like them.
