Cute useful gadet easy to use and keep clean

A good looking & fun slicer, the only reason it doesn't get a full 5 stars is that it is difficult to slice a large duck egg which my 30 year old slicer managed ok.

Great slicer ,good design,easy to use

It's a cute little tool that fulfilled the job at hand passably. It has thin wires as the slicing mechanism and I suppose that works just fine for eggs and the occasional few mushrooms. The cute, little chicken face was the deciding factor in my decision to choose this slicer over something that was probably better suited for the job at hand. LOL. It just was not quite robust enough to slice 3 KILOGRAMS of mushrooms and remain pristine.I've never used a slicer like this before. Usually, I do my slicing my hand with my trusted favourite knife. That was not plausible this time and so this was something of an urgent purchase. I will probably be purchasing a more sensible slicer with blades rather than wires for future "gifts."I cannot say there is anything WRONG with this slicer because I used it for a rather off-label purpose. I was gifted with 3kg of fresh mushrooms that needed slicing and dehydrating right away. The wires held up well enough for the 1st kilo, by the middle of the 2nd kilo the wires were starting to show some wear, the end of the 3rd kilo saw a couple of the wires had just about given up the ghost. I may try restringing those wires or I may not, but either way I can't complain about this little guy; Wedgey was a good little soldier and made it all the way through the job at hand. He cleaned up easily enough and is enjoying a well-earned holiday of undetermined length.I gave 3 stars simply because I respect the rating system and, quite honestly, don't feel I have enough experience with this type of tool to support me giving a higher rating; and I used it in a fashion I don't feel gave it a proper evaluation of its performance within design parameters.

It was a nice enough product and easy to use. But it does cut a bit too thickly for my preference. I've had one in the past that did nice thin slivers. But it is personal choice at the end of the day.

It does exactly what it should do, which to smoothly slice hard boiled eggs. The kids also have fun slicing baby bell cheeses and some soft friut. Only use on soft items as the cutting wires may break
