This heat pump works like a charm. Great value for money. Easy to install. Very quiet during operation. It raises my 3000 gallons pool temperature by 1 degrees per hour even when air temperature is 51-52 F. Even with air temperature ranging from 50s to 90 in Western Washington, it maintains 90-94 F (Yes, Ninty Four) pool temperature without any issues. The heater works well with Smart Life - Smart Living android app by Volcano Technology Limited. Wi-Fi connection allows the heat pump to be controlled remotely. The app allows automation, settings heat/cool/auto mode, temperature adjustment, and turning on/off the heat pump. The heating system turns off automatically whenever it detects low water flow. I control the water pump based on air temperature and pool water temperature which automats the pool heating.

It's quite and looks good but it won't even hold the temp on a 24ft aboveground let alone raise it. Its running as hard as it can but can't keep up. My electric rate in ohio is $.15041 per kwh and this costs me $5.98 a day to run when it's heating all day long. Just checked this morning and I lost 2 degrees last night so it's not worth the money for me to run it here.

I am very impressed with this small but mighty heat pump. It has done an amazing job of helping raise the temperature of my 8,500-gallon inground pool from ~48 degrees to ~81 degrees in roughly 7 days in February. The average ambient air temperature in Oklahoma City over that timeframe was around 55 to 60 degrees with daily highs in the mid-60s to low 70s. I do have a solar cover on the pool as well to retain the heat overnight.The heat pump was super simple to install, especially if you already have a pool panel with 220v available. I like that it only uses 12 Amps unlike other larger heat pumps requiring as much as 30 or 40 amps. I had a couple of empty 20 amp 220v breakers in my pool panel already, so I did not have to run a new 220v line back to the main panel. Once I connected it to the pool pump/filter system and ran the power, it fired right up and got to work.I am confident that this small but mighty unit will be able to extend our pool season into late October or even further, and will allow us to open the pool in March or even earlier.

Bought this to heat my 18’ summer waves pool. It works perfectly. I set the thermostat to 78 degrees and it maintains that temperature at night. Then by the time the sun comes up the pool is 80+ degrees and the kids are in it all day. Called the power company and had them monitor our power usage and as of this review (summer 2025) it’s costing $1.80 per day to heat the pool. It’s efficient, quiet and works great

I live in the Pacific Northwest on the coast and have a 5,000 gallon above ground pool on a 2500gph pump. I installed this myself and as installation is extremely easy way to complete with basic electrical knowledge. Took my pool from 65 up to 84 in about 2.5 days with outside temps between 45 at night to 65 during the day. The pool does get good sun and I always keep a bubble cover on when not in use. The increase in electrical use with the pool pump and heater running 24/7 was about $30 a month! Only $30 to heat a pool of this size is incredible! The app is very simple and easy to connect to. If I need to quickly heat I switch the pump from filter to recirculate and heats 5-10 degrees in 8 hours.

Arrived broken. Seller would not respond, Raypak (Rheem/Rudd) would not help. Don’t waste your time. Over priced piece of plastic. Seller wouldn’t send prepaid return label, UPS wanted $440 because of the size and weight. Would not recommend product or seller.

The installation was easy and this unit has performed well. It has increased our pool usage 3 fold and I am excited about it extending our open time, as it can stay chilly into the beginning of summer and come early in the fall. The ability to add it to my wireless network and manage it with the rest of my home is very handy. I am able to schedule turning it on and off along with the pool pump is great. It is a heat pump model, so the time it takes to heat up is longer but I expected that. I knew I was going for efficiency and in that area this delivers. It is whisper quiet and the nearby pool pump drowns any sound out. I highly recommend scoping appropriate size and adding this to you pool setup. Very happy family and glad I made this investment.

i have my heater hooked up to an 8300 gal Intex 12x24 pool. Turned the pool heater on and the incoming temp of the water was 76 degrees at 8AM and have the temp set to 86 degrees. I checked the Pool at 12PM and it was up to temp all ready. Looked at the input temp vs the output temp and at times when running the difference was 5 degrees warmer output. Then if the water temp gets too hot it automatically switches to cool the pool to maintain the temp. The unit runs on a 15Amp GFCI which is amazing how low the current draw is. Highly recommend this heater.
